Poor Hannah's 'if I want to get to the end I have to change the way I'm doing things'. I'd say the very best thing for her to get to the final is to carry on exactly the way she is. She's absolutely the person I'd be dragging to the final with me.
 
Matthew's 'I think we should all just be glad to be here' when Chris was trying to form an alliance really irritated me. But at least the penny seemed to drop eventually. It does come back to @cwej's previous point about who they have cast in it. But I struggle to get behind someone who only seemed to understand the game three quarters of the way through it.
 
Mixed feelings about these episodes. Thank God we finally some decent blindsides. But annoying that it's probably the two best players overall that have gone - I guess both didn't hide their threat level enough and even these completely useless players finally saw it. I really can't root for any of these 7 to win this game.

Christopher is suffering from the same thing that Nick did in Australian Season 3 where he gets called a snake and 'dishonest' for doing absolutely nothing wrong, but trying to stay in the game when he's on the bottom.

Leilani is so far behind the pace I think she's still on that A Frame from the Immunity Challenge. In Episode 11 she said to Christopher 'we have to vote for you because we don't have a reason to vote anyone else out'... like... YES YOU DO!! You have a reason to vote EVERYONE out Leilani, because you have to vote them ALL out to win the game... FFS.

Next year I really hope they just say a massive no to anyone who says 'I will play a loyal game' and cast 18 proper game players. If I am absolutely pushed then this is the order I want them to win in now:

1. Matthew
2. Christopher
3. Nathan
4. Leilani
5. Pegleg
6. Hannah
7. Laurence

But I honestly don't care who wins out of these seven remaining players - the two I wanted to win have gone out in 8th and 9th.
 
Just to add though - even though the players are finally stepping it up, the editing is fucking atrocious. It couldn't have been clearer who the two players going in those episodes were. As much as it's manipulative for the audience, they really need to push a couple of players to do 'undecided' confessionals just before they go to tribal as it was very very clear who everyone was voting in both of these. There's zero surprise at tribal.
 
That Leilani comment made me laugh as well. Because it shows you exactly the problem - where's the PLAN? What next after you've got rid of the person you 'have to' get rid of?

I'm surprised you rank Matthew so high as I think he's proved utterly useless until now, as I said. But at least he HAS arrived in the game now, when many of them haven't. As you say though, it's hard to care or argue a strong case for anyone.

I think Christopher is the only one now who would have a half decent CV at final tribal. He's the only one who has really played a game. But even if he does get through to the final, I imagine he'd lose to someone who played a really boring game with the way this cast has played so far.

I feel like Doug is a very very respected member of the jury and would have a huge amount of influence over the rest of the jury - I think he'd be telling them why Chris is a worthy winner and they might buy into it.

Actually the more I think about Leilani, the more I tihnk she needs to be much lower - maybe even bottom of the list. The woman got UNANIMOUSLY voted out by her tribe - then has stuck with them like a limpet since merge, like they didn't all try to get rid of her once...! :D

I mean... yeah maybe Chris should be No.1, but he's so annoying. ALL of these 7 would make poor winners really I think at this point. Chris completely wasted his extra vote on a throw away vote for Leilani that he knew noone else was doing, so even he is shit at this!
 
Was it a time limited extra vote - did he have to use it by this tribal?

Although I don't ever remember an extra vote in a series ever being so unimportant and utterly wasted before.
 
I can see this just being a boring Peg win

Im really loving this but fascinated by the other comments about how good the other series are

Yes, I think a Peg win is probably most likely at this stage. I don't particularly want him to win, but but then as we've said, it's hard to care or argue either way for the rest.

I think for the Australian ones at least, you'll see people more who are there to play a game from the very start, rather than just being carried along. There's a lot more open strategy and it kind of feels more encouraged and expected.

My order to win would be

1. Nathan
2. Matthew
3. Christopher (he would deserve it for his efforts)

Then I don’t care

4. Laurence
5. Hannah
6. leilani
7. Pegleg
 
It's so depressing for moopy that there are two women left and both are so poor at playing the game we can't get behind either of them.
 
Mind you, if Leilani claimed Madness Thing and gave us a chorus or two, I could still probably be persuaded.
 
I think part of the reason why the Australian reboot (let’s not talk about the disastrous first attempts) is that American Survivor was always shown on tv there (to good ratings) and so it wasn’t an unknown concept.

It did get bumped to a secondary free view channel later on but that was after the Australian one became a primetime staple in its own right.

It’s astonishing isn’t it! I can’t remember that ever happening with a reality tv show.

I’ve enjoyed Leilani more than Hannah overall but she’s completely and utterly inept.

It’s 100% because of that I agree. And the producers will also have cast looking for big players on that basis too.
 
I actually nearly auditioned for this season - then I couldn’t make the audition date when they called me. And then cancer happened anyway so I wouldn’t have been able to go even if I had been cast.

Maybe next year if it’s running. And then I say I had anal cancer as well as being a super fan. Surely I gotta get cast?? 😂
 
I'm interested to see if viewing figures have got any better as the last 4 episodes have been signifiantly better tv - but worried it might be too little too late to save the show
 
I can’t see Pegleg winning - i don’t like his personality of gameplay so maybe that’s biased my feelings but I just don’t think he’s been given a winning edit (nor do I think he’s done anything to warrant it). Nor Hannah (who’s been pretty invisible really and a bit of a floater) don’t think the producers in an inaugural season would give such a low key edit to a winner 🤷‍♂️

I want Chris to win but I am just not sure there’s enough goodwill for him (to either make it to the end or for the votes). He’s definitely been the standout of the season for me.

I think if Matthew makes it to the end he wins but if he doesn’t then my money is on Leilani to take the whole thing.
 
Man, Nathan was a terrible terrible player in every way. He wasn't even good at challenges. Didn't want to 'hide behind an idol', wanted to get there because 'people wanted him to be there'... what a dreadful cast member.

I'm so pleased the key thing happened - that's a classic Survivor mistake that made excellent TV but why the hell did Nathan tell everyone about his idol. Like I say... terrible player.

If Matty or Christopher don't win this then it is an absolute travesty - Chris is really the only one who has properly understood the game.

In the unlikely scenario that it's a Peg/Lei/Hannah final 3 I just have no idea who the jury would vote for - Peg I guess???
 
I'm just agog that this close to the final people are still only just realising how the game works - or seemingly the penny STILL HASN'T DROPPED. it's like they are all flailing around all of a sudden because they hadn't even considered that they are competing against each other.
 
Suddenly people are saying ‘I’m now thinking about who I want in the final with me’ - but not on the basis of ‘who I can beat in the final’ just ‘who I like and want to have with me’.

Nathan said ‘I’m voting based on who I want in the final 5…’ not voting for Chris because he’s a massive threat. I finally heard Hannah or Peg calling Chris a threat for the FIRST TIME tonight. It’s astonishing.

What do they think they’ve been doing for 30 days??
 
I was only thinking a few days ago, I have a horrible feeling it’s going to be a Hannah, Peg-Leg, Leilani final three. It’s now becoming a reality.

I think Hannah and Peg would probably look to keep Chris in. Leilani could sweep up the Caleton votes in your scenario. It all gets a bit messy in a 3 way as surely you're better off being the only one of your original tribe remaining to avoid splitting the vote? Hannah and Peg might be better off turning on each other if Chris does goes next.
 
I agree Nathan was not a good player and didn't even have the kind of challenge record you might expect to redeem him.

Concerned we are getting a Pegleg win at this point, which does not sit well with me not least for the union jack speedos.

I would like to know more about the Chris-Lei vendetta. She was so desperate for that spa reward!
 
Chris chose exactly the right people for the reward - Hannah and Peg were the clear floaters and I do think if he hadn't chosen them they might have voted Chris rather than Nathan - they've both wanted Chris out for weeks now!

I do think Hannah has convinced herself that the jury 'hate' Chris and that she would keep him to the end - but people like Doug and Ashleigh will convince the jury that Chris is the most worthy winner. So I really do think Chris is going to win this - and quite rightly. Like I say, the only person who in any way deserves it really.
 
At this point Chris is the only worthy winner. I really don’t understand all this “everyone hates him” stuff. What exactly has he done wrong!?
 
I get why you're all saying he should win, but I do find Chris dreadful.

Unless the BBC have already committed to it, if must be very unlikely that we're going to get another series. Neither episode has been in the top 50 shows for the last couple of weeks. The #50 show had 2.612m.

I hope the BBC reboot of Gladiators doesn't go the same way.
 
It is a shame it hasn't taken off, I've enjoyed it as it has gone on. Unfortunately for them not all reality shows are The Traitors.

Anyway Chris and his surely humming leopard print blouse FTW
 
Not more friends and family stuff...

They are practically packing up for the journey home at this point.
 
I don’t want a Leilani / Pegleg / Christopher top 3, because it could be taken as an endorsement of people wearing swimwear that reveals far more of their lower halves than any of us want to see
