the umbrella academy

I don't think many of the cast will be getting Emmys, but I decided I don't care. Ellen Page is the most competent there, but let's face it, Mary J Blige blowing things up whilst doing AGOG face and Robert Sheehan playing Robert Sheehan is just much more FUN.

And as far as doing...1. Diego, 2. Klaus, 3. Ben, 4. Allison, 5. Nope.

Good for him! A tremendous actor. I think I literally every one of his performances.

A new series of Tales in the City would be LOVELY right now, and I'm even more excited if they explore the trans angle with his character as well.

You really do need to use the 'new posts' button.

Season 3 has landed on Netflix this morning so here's a bump!

I loved Season 1 and 2, didn’t even know a new season was coming! Hope it starts with a recap of what happened as my memory is shocking :D

Season 2 was MARVELLOUS, it was also funnier than the first one; the only missteps imho were Diego's long hair and Vanya's boring love interest storyline.

Proper trailer for the final season is on Twitter, sadly I'm in work so can't direct you to it till later, it was on Netflix's account.

Did anybody bother watching this?

The final season seems to getting rather divisive reviews.

I don't think the reduced episode count did them any favours whatsoever. Clearly they came in with way more ideas than time, and really struggled when Netflix slashed the budget. Some key plot points seemed to only start in the final episode. Not enough evil hot Ben. The bizarre fat-shaming of a clearly BUFF Diego. Plot holes galore. A shame.

I didn't hate it. I've broadly enjoyed all of it.

I was quite surprised at how short it was, and presumed it had a second half. Only when the credits rolled, I realised it was done.

I kept thinking Klaus can't die, but then realised that was his superpower in Misfits :D

Klaus can't die, Robert Sheehan just has a strangely specific and niche typecast

I binged the final series and was disappointed with the finale. Diego's stupid moustache should have been burned off his face with a flamethrower. It was like Lost all over again, I felt jipped.

That being said I have just watched all episodes/seasons of Lost in a fortnight and absolutely loved it, even the ending that I've complained about for the last nearly two decades and insisted I'd never watch it again.

They really fumbled it with Season 4, a terrible way to say goodbye to a great show. Everything felt so contrived, and I felt they were cheating us with only six episodes.

My hot take, however, is what a jaw-droppingly bad actress the long-lost sister they just found was. :D Her delivery was excruciating, and others were clearly so over it, that they just winged it, mainly Laila and Viktor, Jesus Christ.
At least we'll always have Seasons 2 and 3 which were great.
