Topic for news events that probably don’t justify a new topic

I'm not sure what your point is?

And I'm not sure how it negates my point. When coke is usually shipped in 10s-100s of kilos, sowing 200g into a syrup does seem like a lot of effort for little financial reward. Its unusual.

My point is that “little financial reward” to you or me isn’t probably the same as what it is to the person desperate enough to be convinced that that was a good idea…

Oh I get you haha. Thats still not really what I meant though!

I'm so used to seeing hauls of 100s of kgs inside crates of bananas or encased in diggers and shit.

But yeah, however this went down the poor bastard was probably making very little for such high risk.

These murderous cunts who are brainwashing young immigrants to kill in Europe is just putting the countries they want to infiltrate into the hands of far right governments, and so everyone loses.

The world is fucked.

It's not been said either way about it being a terrorist incident, let alone one commited my a migrant.

Not that it will stop certain quarters from starting, but we should at least not make the same assumptions

I should have specified but I was moreso referring to the last few attacks which this latest incident made me think of

Also I agree with you about not knowing who did it, but it IS a terrorist incident.

Terrorism isn’t determined by whether the perpetrator is brown, even if the media still insists on that distinction.

It could still be an accident in this case. Wasn't the last car incident like this in the UK entirely accidental?

That one of the vessels is called the "Solong" is a bit on the nose, eh?

As if the poor sailors haven’t suffered enough what with the ship crashing and them getting covered in oil

They had boarded lifeboats and were towed into Grimsby and from what I could see they have escaped with very little.

Some of the crew members from the Stena Immaculate oil tanker were at the local Asda in Grimsby this evening buying clothes.

Could they have not gone over the Humber Bridge to a nice Primark in HULL? :disco:

I read that "Plastic Dreams" by Jaydee was playing at the Philippines nightclub when the fire broke out in 1996, & I've never listened to it in the same way since - sounds haunting :(
Cher's Believe was playing when the Bali bomb went off.

I recall seeing a clip of the Warrington bomb and Angeleyes by ABBA was playing in the shop.

There's a sub-reddit waiting to exist about songs playing during disasters.

It's really ridiculous how many people have been killed in fires started by indoor pyros. I feel like the moral of the story is 'don't use them', but if the footage of the Station nightclub didn't put people off then nothing will.
