First single "Glad He's Gone" is coming next Friday it seems - album is called Sunshine Kitty. Why? It was "inspired by an episode of Girls, the title shares its name with an accompanying animated Lynx—“Lo”in Swedish—who joins Tove on this trip...", because of course. :side-eye:

Confirmed tracks from the album and some descriptions:

Glad He's Gone - "it's the pep talk you give your girlfriend when she's going through a break up"
Sweettalk My Heart - about "the lies a lover tells you that you both want to believe"
Bad As The Boys - 80s sound, about her first crush on a girl
R U Gonna Tell Her - neon production and Latin rhythms, it's "club ready"
Anywhere You Go - hypnotically-assured
Jacques - wild Eurodance elation, "proves she still likes to rave"

I have a suspicion this album might be really uncharacteristically upbeat, but I want at least one ice cold banger which wreaks of misery, depression and pills

I always have some time for Tove Lo. Impromptu top ten:

1. True Disaster
2. hey you got drugs?
3. Thousand Miles
4. Flashes
5. disco tits
6. Talking Body
7. Cool Girl

Honorable mentions to "Lady Wood", "bad days", "9th of october", "Timebomb" etc

Glad He's Gone is out and it's properly great. Hits Spotify at midnight :disco:

Glad He's Gone is nice enough but won't be replacing Blow That Smoke on my playlist anytime soon..

It's decent enough but I hope there is better on the album.

Robyn and Taylor can do one cos this is easily the best video released today, and possibly this year

amazing

that is a proper great video. at first i was wondering how they justified spending so much money (i imagine) flying her all over the place but then it just comes together and i actually like the song now so good job, tove lo.

Very, very excited for this. One week after the Charli album as well. What a time to be alive.

Final track pre-album, which is out Friday - not really feeling this one yet

just snatched tickets for Brussels in March :disco: she was pretty great when I saw her in '17 (I think) despite the awful crowd

I really like that. Jacques is the one I care for least of the songs released but other than that they're all good.

@Jark is it me or are there just no max tracks on this album?
It's just so muted and underwhelmeling.

I do really like Stay Over though, and Really Don't Like U is the best thing here. But it's her least essential album.

I've persisted with this (moreso than with the Charli album honestly) and it's rewarded me by growing a fair bit.

10 Glad He's Gone
09 Bad As the Boys
08 Sweettalk My Heart
09 Stay Over
07 Are U Gonna Tell Her?
06 Jacques
08 Mateo
08 Come Undone
07 Equally Lost
10 Really Don't Like U
06 Shifted
07 Mistaken
09 Anywhere U Go

It's not her masterpiece but it's really solid with enough highs to keep me coming back.

TOP 10 TOVE

02 Timebomb
03 Imaginary Friend
04 Over
05 Habits (Stay High)
06 Talking Body
07 Cool Girl
08 Disco Tits
09 Keep It Simple

sweettalk my heart has really grown on me and i see it's doing much better than really don't like you. poor chartlie poisonouge.

strange that it's the 4th song i've kinda sorta liked from the album and i'm still not pressed to give it a whirl.

r u gonna tell her is yet another pretty good track. and yet i still have no urge to listen to the album):

the album is really good. not her best or most substantial, but deceptively catchy and fully listenable start to finish without skipping - it absolutely breezes past.

Really Don't Like U is the big keeper from this era for me. I thought it would be Glad He's Gone, but that's faded quite a bit.

1. Moments
2. Habits (Stay High) the original version though
3. Cool Girl
4. Disco Tits.
5. Talking Body
6. Influence
7. True Disaster
8. Close (w/Nick Jonas)
9. Glad He's Gone
10. Heroes (just cannot remember another song I like from this bitch :disco: )

It is a really good pop album. Sweettalk My Heart is my favourite, and Mateo probably the pick of the album tracks.
