Does this include New Zealand numbers? Because I guarantee We Will Rave STORMED the Kiwi chartsWeirdly, it's doing almost double the numbers of We Will Rave, which is the one I'd have expected to be storming it.
Sadly there's no data from New Zealand. They stopped bothering with music ever since they realised they'd never top the Shortland Street theme tune.Does this include New Zealand numbers? Because I guarantee We Will Rave STORMED the Kiwi charts
I don't know if there's a way to see how many of those streams are from each home country. On the one hand I'm calling it a delightful success for R OLLY, on the other I completely agree that there's surely no way France could ever be that popular among people with ears.Isn't a lot of that list down to countries with bigger populations/Spotify listeners having higher streams as normal? I mean, as if France is the 3rd most popular song for streaming in real terms!
Although that Dutch crap being up there is presumably an indication of something.
Yes, I'd imagine that's a huge part of it.Isn't a lot of that list down to countries with bigger populations/Spotify listeners having higher streams as normal? I mean, as if France is the 3rd most popular song for streaming in real terms!

I am seeing this a fair bit nowto be fair I didn't like this on first listen but as a song that sits on a playlist in the background (albeit the Eurovision 2014 playlist) I think it's actually rather good.
Which is potentially a big problem in a field of 26 songsI am seeing this a fair bit now

This is where I’m at. The public vote is a massive wildcard this year but I’d have thought it was a pretty safe bet to scoop up a good amount of jury points - it has a lot going for it that they’d normally go for.I feel like this could be quietly a bit of a success in contrast to all the personality disorder chaotic noise entries this year by just being a song.
Yes this is what I mean by my response above. It’s an actual song and it does seem to be gaining traction even amongst those who were sceptical at the start.I feel like this could be quietly a bit of a success in contrast to all the personality disorder chaotic noise entries this year by just being a song.
noIs he/Years & Years known in Europe at all?
Wikipedia tells me yes, and they've never lied to me about Eurovision, which I found out from that same article was invented by Selena Gomez in 1988 to annoy lesbians. There is an obvious lack of jury bait this year, but Cha Cha Cha did well with them. And with so many noisy entries, they're going to have to give points to some, or even favour some of those entries. I think Olly will do okay with them though.
Is he/Years & Years known in Europe at all? What with him being a lot more well known than our usual entry, I wondered if he had some profile, however small, elsewhere. I mean it's kind of nuts that he's the first act we've sent who's had any hits at all, never mind semi recently, since...I've no idea.
If You're Over Me scraped #50 in Belgium
Adele would be severely hamstrung by the fact that she's shite. And even if those songs had been moderate hits, we've seen time and time again that that counts for nothing at Eurovision unless you're number one everywhere right now or Adele or someone.
As if there'd be a WHISPER of a chance she'd even turn up for the right date!Adele would be severely hamstrung by the fact that she's shite.
Yes, even a couple of entirely above board 12s!Sugar will forever remain a guilty pleasure of mine.
Didnt she also make the final relatively comfortably, like 6th?![]()
Didn't it turn out it wasn't even the longest note?It still slaps to be fair
Remember the longest note in history?
I think it turned out it wasn’t even a note (at least not a note anybody has any business singing in)Didn't it turn out it wasn't even the longest note?![]()
