The opener is obviously always a bit disadvantaged, so any success story from position #1 is quite lovely to witness. We've not had any since What's The Pressure (which was deserved anyway). Would love to see something positive soon lest it becomes the next #2 poison chalice

One of the things with producer decided running order is that we've had some great openers recently, to kick things off on a high. I'd say "El Diablo" is my favourite.

Watching the 2003 contest during lockdown, I really thought this was a case of the first song on still being the best by the end of the night.
