Eurovision Forum: Introduce yourself / Eurovision questionnaire (1 Viewer)

I have 'They Can't Stop The Spring' on my MP3 player. :shy:

Only other 07 songs that made the cut were Visionary Dream, Mojo Svet and Molitva.

The live version was just CUNTY.

But the studio version left me quite CONTENT

Five points, sez Diggiloo. I believe all five from the UK, though I may be wrong on that one!

For once we recognised Irish live shitness and gave it exactly what it deserved.

Ireland was saved from nil-points thanks to Albania of all places.

No Serebro or Evridiki?!? :o

My personal selection:

Molitva
Dancing lasha tumbai
Song #1
Shake It Up shekerim :shy:
Water
Visionary Dream
L'amour à la française
Comme ci - comme ça

Actually I'm a complete liar. I have Water, Song #1 and Vertigo too.

Yay for 'Mojot Svet' VoR! I feel that it is very very under appreciated.

I still play the Macedonian/English version loads. I am impressed that i can say and pronounce each word properly aswell. It is great to listen to it on a hot sunny day like today. STRUT STRUT

Oh I can't be arsed with that bilingual version. Macedonian all the way.

I'm the same with 'The Silence That Remains' and Diva.

Mojo Svet IS fabulous though you're right! I was trying to sing it to Swangali last night because he couldn't remember it, but for some reason me tunelessly mumbling "dum dum dum dum dum LA MUSICA, dum dum dum dum dum LA MUSICA" didn't ring any bells. :D

'Mojot Svet' is lovely, however it just didn't translate for me on the night, which is a real shame.

I love the Macedonian version, like the English version and don't like the hybrid version much at all. For me it's kind of 'Hasheket Shenishar' in reverse.

I will do you all a LOVELY version of it one day...

The bi-lingual version is better i think. Has a lot more kick. Maybe that is me just listening to both versions far too much!

Is there a complete English version anywhere on MP3?

What amazingly spazzed out lyrics.

11/10 from me

SADNESS IS KNOCKING TOO MANY DOORS :(

We have all been there Karolina, YES WE HAVE

Karolina doesn't get the credit she deserves as a future Eurovision great. I hope she comes back again every five years, I mean how many Macedonians can there be who look as stunning in a blue dress and can carry a tune?

In which country do you live?
Sweden

How many years have you been watching the Eurovision Song Contest
Far too many, I guess...

...1970s?

Gigliola Cinquetti

Can you sing any of the winning songs from the 1950s?
The difference between yawning and "Refrain" is miniscule, so I'd say YES.

If you had a Eurovision song played at your funeral, which would it be?
Congratulations?

Is CatCat's Bye Bye Baby the greatest Finnish song ever?
Of course.

What is the most played Eurovision tune on your computer/mp3 player?
A tie between All Kinds of Everything and Puppet On A String. Why can't ESC produce these kind of gems any more?

Karolina will be back again...she said as much.

I don't think Macedonia will win for a good while yet though. Nothing they have entered has even come close to deserving to win.

They have been good these past 2/3 years. Shame that this year they are FUCKING DIRE.

I like almost everything Macedonia has produced, none of them were winners (the Karolina entries being the best).

I can't decide whether I prefer 'Mojot Svet' or 'Od Nas Zavici' though, the latter should have done much better in the wilderness that was 2002.

She has a much prettier outfit last year. There is NO nice leg action going in in 2002. Although i do like 'Od Nas Zavici'.

I actually think Macedonian translates quite well to music.

2002 was a great year apart from the dire winner IMO! First year that really grabbed me!

Although it is very much about the staggering highs (Sahlene, Losco) and the comical lows (Corrina, Afro-Dite). There's a good half of it I couldn't even hum.

For me, 2002 has NOTHING that's outstanding in the way that contests around it do.

As a non loon fan in 2002, i have to agree with David. Apart from 'Runaway' and a few othe songs, it wasn't that spectacular. Especially not compared to 2003, 2005 and 2006 (from a loon point of view then)

What's with all the Karolina discussion? She had two mediocre entries. End of.

BACK TO THE TOPIC PLEASE PEOPLE.

All Kinds of Everything isn't a gem. It's three minutes of vomit-inducing nonsense. She disgusts me, and am ashamed Europe voted for that tosh.

How many times a week do you listen to it? I'm worried for your health.

I get slagged off for 'Molitva' and yet you all let this pass you by as though it's an everyday occurence on Moopy! :o

There also seems to be a few more MF loons hanging around.

What is the most played Eurovision tune on your computer/mp3 player?[/QUOTE]
According to last.fm it's 'Visionary Dream' right now...

I never thought 'You Got Style' was that bad, it may be damning them with faint praise but it's in my top 3 Lithuanian entries.

Going back to the forbidden discussion and neatly combining both aspects of it, I thought 2002 was a pretty dire year to be honest, and that Ira Losco song was fucking disgusting. Karolina's entry was actually my favourite by far.

2003, 2004 and in particular 2005 were much better years I rec

In other news I will complete this at some point, but you should have added an obvious, but still essential "What is your all time favourite Eurovision song?" question, mainly because I want to know if there are any other Doris fans sliding around on here.

Doris would be in my top 15 or so, but not my fave.
