There was a thing in Popbitch this week about the UK entry wasn't there? Can't remember what it said though. Or has that been mentioned already?

Can we remove the poll from this thread? We'll need to replace it when the dreaded announcement comes. Unless of course it is Little Boots...

Can't they do what they ONCE AGAIN FAILED TO MANAGE about ten years ago and get Alcazar in?

Can't delete a poll alas. I will do some topic re-arranging. Anything is better than this essay.

I don't recall Love City Groove collectively scoring three number one hits.

They're very much LOCAL STARS though, and Tulisa is such a crap performer.

I don't believe it for a moment anyway.

TOO URBAN FOR EUROPE

Is Cher Lloyd too urban for Europe?

I finalized my album track listing! Just wish I could tell you all what I'm about to do!!!!!! Not long and you'll all find out
— Cher Lloyd (@CherLloyd) February 22, 2014

I'd be happy with Cher Lloyd I think. But this thread is just turning into "name a random artist, next poster declares if they're happy, start the chain again"

Yeah, it'll be Cher Lloyd. Cher Lloyd who Simon Cowell is DESPERATE to make big in the notoriously fickle American market

:manson:

Can we draw up a list of who Rhythmbandit hasn't suggested yet?

So far I think it reads:

Madonna
Kate Middleton
Fred West
Elvis Presley
Gloria Hunniford

ANYMORE FOR ANYMORE?

Both Agnetha and I think Madonna so that's it confirmed then.

I seriously think MutyaKeishaSiobhan should do it.

It's their only chance of getting another single in the charts.

Also scoring nul points at Eurovision would be a fitting addition to the Siobhan Donaghy litany of doom.

What's that manband called with Ricketts, Kavana, Gates and co - 5th Attempt or something?

ITV2 to follow their journey to Copenhagen for a 4 part series.

Would the BBC even want MKS?

Of course they fucking wouldn't!!!

I say make an all female version of 5th Story called FIVE A : with Aimee from Clea, Alda, Alexia, Alizée and Anita from 2 Unlimited. That's 48 points we'd have for a START! :disco:

I just put a rumour on twitter and immediately got five responses. The gays are chomping at the bit.

"Just been sharing a kebab with the UK Eurovision entry. Clue: They don't like garlic sauce, but they take the full salad."

Ah - you have to give them more! I give it half an hour before it appears on the Eurovision forums!

A tweet from RB's friend/ex BF did the rounds earlier today!

Thanks Agnetha, got an idea myself:

"Just chatting on Skype with the UK ‪#‎eurovision‬ 2014 entry. Hint - they like to eat scrambled eggs for dinner. "

My FB is off the hook atm. :)

Fuck me there's little more that makes me utterly ASHAMED to be a British Eurovision fan than how pathetically gullible and desperate most of the internet lot get (the 'Official UK at Eurovision - Fan Club' group on Facebook really is SCREAMING for a STRONG DOSE OF ZYKLON B. No, that person with 40 followers on Twitter DID NOT JUST ANNOUNCE A WORLD EXCLUSIVE. Put your iPhone down AND DO SOMETHING WITH YOUR LIFE.)

What makes it even worse is that everyone's going MENTAL when we haven't had it announced this early in YEARS!

Controversial actress Charlotte Gainsbourg was tonight denying sensational rumours that she will be representing the UK in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. The daughter of deceased French pop icon Serge Gainsbourg and English actress Joan Bakewell, the star of Dead On The Nile and the inspiration for the infamous Hermes handbag, Ms Gainsbourg will soon be seen in Lars Von Trapp's eagerly awaited Nymphomaniacs, a comedy thriller co-starring Uma Thurman and Billy Elliot. Ms Gainsbourg is also a highly respected and successful recording artist, having duetted with Oscar winning actress Madonna on her number 1 smash hit "What It Feels Like For A Girl". She has released 3 smash hit albums: Lemon Incense, £5.55, which was written and produced by Pump frontman Jarvis Crocker, and RIM which was produced by Victoria Beckham. Asked by reporters at a Nymphomaniacs press conference tonight, Ms Gainsbourg gave a gallic shrug and said she knew nothing about the rumours. "I don't know anything about these Eurovision rumours" she shrugged, before taking a sip of Evian water.
