Neighbours DEAD (again)

Elle (blonde Nicole Kidman lookalike) is one of the triplets he had with Gail. She hasn't aged at all in the 15 years since she was on the show.

Andrew (bored Scot) is the Alessi

Amy (wide-eyed brunette) was from a random one night stand that pre-dated the start of Neighbours

David (whiny prison gay) and Leo (goes on about wineries) are the retcon offspring. Paul only discovered they existed minutes before Leo and Amy were due to commit incest; chuckles were had by all.

Also two other children not seen (the remaining triplets) - one dead, and one in prison for blowing up Harold Bishop's entire family

Also when did Jane marry and have kids? Wasn't she meant to be looking after noseybeak Mrs Mangel all these years?

Surprised that Maria Ramsay is still meant to be alive. Also do all the Ramsays end up in Queensland or what?

Paul's zoom call with five of his children was appalling. I wonder how many more we'll get...

I feel like a lot more

My guess is that little sub-plot about Levi and Freya re-creating the history book will become significant. A nice out for some of the "Neighbours alumni" who aren't really that arsed, but also don't fancy "XXX SNUBS NEIGHBOURS HORROR" headlines next week.

So Imbruglia leaving herself on mute, Margot Robbie trapped under a cat filter, and Jesse Spencer being overhead shit-talking Rebecca Ritters

I've had a bottle of Kylie Prosecco for a couple of months. After seeing someone on SayHey mention they are going to open one for the final episode, I think I'll do the same.

I haven’t been watching but probably will try and dip in this week. Do we have any indication on what is going to happen in order for the show to stop or why all these characters are turning up back in Ramsay street?

Melanie and Toadie’s wedding seems to be the focal point when I watched it last week. I saw a bit with Harold having some conflict with Melanie (as she was step-mother to his grandchildren).

I suppose Billy Kennedy was best friends with Toadie growing up (but didn’t turn up to his other weddings). What’s going on with Karl and Susan for ALL of their children to finally come back at once?

I haven’t been following Paul’s story to work out why Scott and Charlene would come back, and unsure how Mike would come in to it.

They've made up some guff about putting together a new (replacement) 'history of Ramsay Street' book. How long the previous one was supposed to have been in existence, I have no idea, nor do I understand why. So I'll assume these reappearances are to do with that.

So nothing pre-1985 either :D Bit weird.

Either Freya or Levi mentioned how loads of old residents had got in contact via the Facebook page wanting to be involved.

It's simultaneously kind of heartwarming yet very cringe.

My God, it IS all coming true. Pixelated and muted Margot Robbie on Zoom! (Although good for her - she's arguably the biggest celeb right now, but also still could have easily gotten away without acknowledging Neighbours in a way that Kylie might not have)

The media are reporting there are still another 15 or so returnees being kept under wraps - but most presumably doing the online "history book" thing.

Natalie Imbruglia and Holly Valance being reported as almost fact. Also supposedly Madge and Doug Willis making appearances from BEYOND THE GRAVE.

It's going to be DREADFUL and LOVELY all at the same time.

There's still time for Rebecca Ritters to ruin everything.

I think I'll tune in for the last few episodes as well, though I haven't watched regularly since the 90s apart from a brief stint of a year or so around 2005 when Harold's family was killed off.

I mean given it's ending I guess it doesn't have to make any sense really, it's just nice to see so many cast members acknowledge the show and their time on it. It was always a bit cheesy and saccharine so they may as well lean into that.

I've no doubt if Hollyoaks ended they'd fully double down on their stunt reputation and have the entire set plunge into a sink hole that becomes their own version of the Upside Down where the entire cast are serial killers or something. Actually that just sounds like a regular Hollyoaks week to be fair

I'm guessing Carla Bonner (Steph) will definitely be a Zoom call rather than in-person - supposedly she and her family are staunch anti-vaxxers (her real life son was fired from Home & Away only months ago because of it)

We're currently ahead, but Australia are planning on airing "marathons" this week so they'll end up airing the finale on Thursday instead of Friday

It'll be interesting to see the Channel 5 ratings for this. Even with all the returnees I wouldn't anticipate huge numbers but it'll certainly be a sharp increase.

I'd like a nice joint cameo appearance from Lyn, Joe, Steph and Jack Scully, with a passing reference to how they don't speak to Flick anymore because she married a wrongun and is now a fucking tory cunt

No Holly Valance return? @Soldi AGOG.

Our fascist fave IS back after all!

So I'm having a hard binge this afternoon.

So Izzy is fucking Mal? Melanie and Toadie are getting married? And Angie is back!

Maybe Markene's cruise will finally end.
