And Just Like That... (Sex & The City revival)

‘You’re Carrie Bradshaw, you should never be embarrassed’

DON’T REMIND US AND YES SHE SHOULD

I wonder if we’re getting every rotten side character from season 1 back. The gag when Anthony’s holocaust denying date gets his own storyline next week.

How do you remember these things? I can't remember anything five minutes later in the same episode. It's all so vapid and inconsequential!

I agree about the side characters, and that Seema is the one that has had the best impact is almost (dare I say it) filling a hole for Samantha,
This second series its really hard to see who the main characters are from at least the first two episodes. It's evident they are ticking boxes of diversity but they could have done it more meaningfully and authenticly I think.

This thread has more than convinced me that I do not need to, and should not, watch this new season.

They had the perfect opportunity to have Miranda locked in a sensory deprivation tank for the entire season and didn’t take it?

Just put on episode 1 of season 2.

HerSerene lasted 15 minutes before announcing he was going to go and read a book.

I made it to the end and can now safely say this is one of the worst things on tv. When she said “and just like that, I found a way to repurpose my pain” I actually laughed out loud because there wasn’t even anything in the episode about this theme??

Can’t wait to watch episode 2. :disco:

The “and just like that” for episode 2 made me laugh. And not AT it.

Did Che really have to go to LA to film a TV show? Do they not have sound stages in New York? WE WOULDN’T HAVE KNOWN
And doesn’t ‘HEY CHE!’ or whatever it is called have ‘cancelled after one episode’ written all over it?

I’m saving Glamorous for one of those life-changing hangovers where I’m too weak to fight it.

So 3 episodes in and this has lost any of the charm of the first series and is just dull.

No wonder they went to Kim Cantrell for an added scene to give some reason to watch it

Sorry if this has been covered in the last 20 pages but just WHY AND HOW does Che have their own show now? Did they get THAT famous off of those small gig stand up gigs they also STILL SEEM TO BE DOING?

They’re testing new material!

No, it’s never really be explained - would you really still have the time to faff about doing improv whilst filming a sitcom pilot?

I’m not sure, but it’s only a pilot, and how many US sitcoms have there been surrounding some stand-up playing a version of themselves? Not all of them were even that big stars first.
Literal violence!

This is a show where everyone is famous and successful; they all get invited to the Met gala, the random neighbour is one of Bulgari’s top 10 up and coming talents etc. The least you’d expect is for Che to get a pilot.
