Taylor Swift - The Tortured Poets Department (out April 19th)

I don't think Fortnight is even top half on this album but I do enjoy the last minute a lot

Fortnight is also one of my favorites. i don't get why it's hated. it's very much folklore meets Midnights.

it looks incredible. TTPD chunk of the setlist:

  1. But Daddy I Love Him
  2. So High School
  3. Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?
  4. Down Bad
  5. Fortnight
  6. The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived
  7. I Can Do It with a Broken Heart
the transition between Down Bad and Fortnight is :disco: GAGGED at So High School! perfect choices all round. I would only add the title song. she also did loml as one of the surprise songs in Paris.

She just announced three additional variants (digital albums) with unheard demos that will be available for 6 hours only… and will no doubt be available via streaming and vinyl in a few weeks. :D

The way she keeps gatekeeping the second album in physical form AND the signed copies, she just keeps waiting for someone else to release something :eyes: she's low-key petty and high key GREEDY at this point; she'll probably cry about it and write a song describing how very woman in the industry hates her hmm

I cannot get into the album, as much as I want to. The lyrics are just too much for me this time and the music feels like a retread. I don't normally mind Taylor's style of songwriting but this all feels on the nose.

I've only listened to the first album proper.

It's whatever Spotify brings up on any given day.

I actually quite like the idea of there not being a fixed cover - does there need to be in 2024?

Not MORE pointless vinyl variants. Swifties are an environmental crisis at this point.
