Julie did some interesting re-wording of Omar's question there :eyes:

Did either of them remember to mention the other football team in the Euros?

If he says £2000 one more time I'm gonna smash my screen.

(I'm 20 minutes in)

Well that’s nonsense

I think Sunak is winning not on content, but on presentation personally (I know that's going to be unpopular to say here). It sounds so silly to say it, but his voice is clearer, it's less 'down' and he sounds just generally more animated. I think that has a lot of unconscious effect.

Agog at the woman chairing this follow up with the other parties who thought the SNP politician not supporting England in the Euros was some GOTCHA. They're Scottish, what's not clicking?

I agree with this. Both Sunak and Starmer came across more or less exactly as expected, but Sunak probably played better to the people who already like him. Even the most ardent Starmer fan would probably have to concede that he really struggled for the first 30 minutes or so.

So basically about as exciting as a fart in a lift and hasn't really changed anything then?

I couldn't bear watching all of it but at least Sunak came out fighting, albeit in the mode of petulant school bully. Casting himself as the underdog is clever too - we know how much well-off cishets like to feel that they're the ones who are really being oppressed.

So much for "KAPOW!". Can we have "SUNAK'S SLAM DUNK SUNK" for a headline from someone?
