God I wholeheartedly agree. He could whisper sweet Trump swipes to me in bed any day.
 
If Kamala wins, Trump is done. He'll be way too old to run in 2028 and his appeal will fizzle. Beyond him, I guess Ron DeSantis and Marco Rubio will run again? Maybe Brian Kemp? I also suspect a whole host of younger Trump copycats will compete for becoming his 'rightful successor' to 'carry on his legacy', dividing Republican voters and the party.

The Democrats are probably in a better position for 2028 because they've incubated more talent.
 
I can totally see Trump being on the ticket again in 2028. The Republican party are no longer a coherent political party, they’re a full blown cult with him as their figurehead. Difficult to see him letting that go while he’s alive. Even if the internal machine recognises that he’s a liability, the base won’t let him go easily.

If not him, I wouldn’t be surprised if Don Jr or Ivanka were on the ticket in some capacity.
 
Trumpism is now a cancer and I do agree that I don't think the family will be far away from election time for the foreseeable. They crave power and are all brought up with the sense that they are entitled to it, and manipulation is their biggest asset. As long as they keep feeding the cult they will stick around. The Republican party needs to rebuild from the bottom up if it ever wants to become a legitimate party again - not to say they can't win because there's clearly enough cult followers and enough rich white men who'll vote whoever is on the Republican ticket regardless of how toxic it is. But it's going to take a lot to kill off that cancer. They are so embedded in the party. You hardly even hear them talk about being Republican any more - it's all Trump and MAGA now.

Absolutely - I think the Trumps are here for a while, even if it's not him, it will be his dumbass kids.
 
I think the kids will definitely go for it as legacy acts. I think Jr is a bit too frantic but I can see Eric being dumb enough to try. Also Ivanka would be an easy sell to the MAGA crowd.
