I caught some appalling TAT put out by NatWest the other night where lots of "real people" discuss their finance requirements with a lovely bank manager.

What a CROCK
 
Oh yes those are crap. Who would trust their finances to a subsidary of RBS?
 
I wouldn't have minded so much (well, I WOULD, but that would defeat my point) if the "real people" hadn't quite so blatantly been reading off a SCRIPT
 
Just For Men have never had good adverts, but I saw one yesterday which was just awful. :manson:

UGH i fucking hate that new KFC one with the chef is wittering on about how nice it is to be a cook etc. then you find out he's cooking chicken for KFC. ERM deep frying chicken and chopping salad at KFC does not make you a CHEF. Plus I've never seen a "chef" in KFC in whites.

I'm in deep deep love with the man of the Volvic challenge advert.

ALTHOUGH i hate it when companies try and make eating their food as a fun game for us all to play - especially when it's just WATER. The love of my life is a fool if he's not just bought the one Volvic bottle and is refilling it from the tap. And even then he should have got an Evian bottle because they are prettier.

Still though, the Weetabix challenge is my most hated food challenge ever, and i fully remember the Flora one with Lulu.

It must be said that mineral water does taste nicer than tap water. Especially limescaley South East England tap water.

I still only drink tap water at home though.
 
I don't mind tap water here (Anglia) but Evian is just nicer.

That said, I would rather drink tap water than Volvic or that other one I can't remember.

I was put off of mineral water after reading (somewhere) about the complete lack of filtration controls it has compared to tap water.

People assume that because it's come from a lovely fresh spring somewhere that it's pure and clean, which is not the case (although obviously you don't see bird shit floating in it on the shop shelves).

Ofcom is to allow more commercial breaks in programmes on public service broadcasters.

While the total amount of advertising will not be allowed to rise at this stage, rules governing the number of breaks in programmes longer than an hour will be harmonised between public service and non-public service channels, effectively allowing the number of ad breaks during longer programmes on ITV, Channel 4 and Five to rise.

"Ofcom is making the changes because PSBs should not face a disincentive from airing longer programmes, especially within peak-times, because of the advertising distribution rules," the regulator announced.

Next spring, Ofcom plans to re-evaluate the rules governing the total amount of advertising allowed on commercial public service channels. Today, it said "there is a strong case for harmonising the regulation of advertising minutage (including both overall amounts and peak-time limits) on PSB and non-PSB channels within the next few years".

Once you open a plastic bottle of water, it gradually starts decomposing, so any tap water you put in it and leave in it starts to get tainted with decomposing plastic toxins.

Sorry if anyone has already said this but I HATE those Tesco adverts with the ANNOYING JANE HORROCKS voice.

It was funny the first time, years and years ago, but her voice on those ads, makes me CRINGE now. Talk about a one-trick pony!
