I'm sure it could actually do quite well on Netflix or Prime so maybe they've done a deal to get it on streaming and recoup a sliver of the money spent

We are still getting it on the 10th apparently but probably just for the weekend. I may go see it Saturday :WhiffOfMisogyny:

Funny how you really struggle to find much negative about the film from those who’ve actually seen it :EmilyMeh:

I do find Moopy taking SO strongly against this film SOMEWHAT BIZARRE

Same TBH. I get that Robbie is quite annoying but I must have missed the point when he became a Lulu-esque hate figure. He has as many bangers as he does duds IMO.

Lovelight is my favourite of his Edit: Penelope beat me to it. TASTE!

I don’t particularly hate Robbie either, but surely the vitriol is more directed at the ridiculous vanity project concept than anything else?
Absolutely. The whole thing is fascinating.

Yes, this. I don’t particularly hate Robbie, but I could barely name 5 songs of his that I’d ever be able to score more than 5/10. Fully prepared for the film to be really good too… but it doesn’t need to exist. And like Lucille says, I’d rather watch a documentary on the accounting!

Aren't all celebrity bio movies essentially vanity projects though? I do appreciate that this one at least appears to be attempting something a bit different with the tired old format.
Well, as Ellie has indicated, the subjects are usually DEAD, or venerable enough that they get a pass.

And that's before you consider the amount of money spent on a film for someone who has minimal fame in the US.
