Well, this is the thing - Musk was asking people back immediately after the first round of sackings because they were so poorly researched. They must know that he's going to have to come crawling to most, if not all of them.

Stupid bastard has such a narrow idea of what Twitter could be. I really feel for artists, musicians, merchants etc who have built up so much of their day-to-day work via Twitter and it's all going south because of some witless, immature egotist.

I haven't tried Mastodon but I do like that posts are called TOOTS so I might look into it.

That certainly looks easier to use and makes more sense than Mastodon.
 
Well banning people, and in the case Peterson, a professor emeritus,
a) is equivalent to screeching over an opinion you dont like.
b) cuts down any chance of a healthy discourse that could educate everyone involved and
c) is tolitarian and an arrogant display of power and a faux monopoly on truth that many leftists exudes which makes them generally unlikable, much as the far right cunts are.

Oh and not when the gay-executing Mullas, extremists and homophobes/transphobes tweet and incite freely in other languages/regions with no ramifications whatsoever.

I had to google both of them to be honest and my only reaction is that it reminded me why I enjoy not being tied to social media and its toxic network of 'influencers'. They both sound like they're full of hot, empty air.

They also seem to screech opinions, offer no healthy discourse, have tolitarian views and have an arrogance towards the power they hold on their platforms. So I found this position interesting. But ultimately I find it easy these days to avoid people like this anyway, so it matters not.
