So I guess it's time for the next of Taylor Swift's support acts to break through properly - but she is a rather obvious Swift understudy unlike Sabrina Carpenter.

"Us" got a Grammy nomination, "That's So True" is everywhere right now (and #1 in the UK and #1 in the US on Spotify). It's a bit "by the numbers" - but it's stacked with hooks and the bridge gets stuck in your head.

Every time I hear her I think that's a lot Taylor, and a bit Lorde.

I do quite like That's So True and Close To You is even better.

On paper I should like this. But no.

Gracie Abrams feels too much like a cynical step back to manufactured pop; someone has taken Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Piper, and Lorde and stuck them in a blender to create an AVERAGE

i'm so happy she's blowing up! staying stable in Spotify's WW Top 5 after almost 2 months is insane. I Love You, I'm Sorry is also holding steady in the 30-40 range. i don’t understand why she gets so much hate. Gracie's songwriting and performance abilities are on par with, if not better than, Sabrina, Olivia, and the other Taylor Swift protégés.

there's also a reason why Taylor has called Gracie her daughter out of all the other girlies.

she's marvellous on stage.

I don't know who she is or how she landed a gig this good, but they must see something in her. As much as I hated him, Karl Lagerfeld would NEVER.

She feels like a bit of a Jessica Simpson figure, but It’s So True is quite the earworm. Ready for it not to be #1 anymore though.
