Do we really need to lean in to the demonisation of Jill Biden as some power-crazed Lady Macbeth? It's just a misogynistic right-wing dog whistle. We have no idea who or what is influencing Biden to dig his heels in at this stage.
Her own statements on the matter drew her into the conversation and it is clear that she has rejected any attempts to reason with her husband. You pick up a sword, you're part of the fight.

Kamala has been spotted digging his grave.

Does Kamala WANT to be President? I just get the feeling it's the LAST thing she actually wants
She's doing everything possible to not look like she wants to, because she can't be seen to knife her boss.

However she did run in the primary in 2020 so she clearly wants to be president

This is literally the exact narrative the Left wanted for Trump. That he was mentally ill and would be disqualified from the ballot. Somebody cursed it.

"I directly expressed the full breadth of insight, heartfelt perspectives and conclusions about the path forward that the Caucus has shared in our recent time together" :D

The donors are way more powerful than the House or Senate this close to election time. More to freeze please!

Sounds like he's massively underestimating the impact of his debate performance.

Still hoping cooler heads will prevail.

During the 2016 U.S. presidential election, Vance was an outspoken critic of Republican nominee Donald Trump. In a February 2016 USA Today column, he wrote that "Trump's actual policy proposals, such as they are, range from immoral to absurd."[100] In the Atlantic and on the PBS show hosted by Charlie Rose,[101] Vance called Trump "cultural heroin"[102] and "an opioid of the masses."[103][104] In October 2016, he called Trump "reprehensible" in a post on Twitter,[105] and called himself a "never-Trump guy."[106] In a private message on Facebook he called Trump "America's Hitler".[107]
