Starting at season 7 would be a really good starting point.
I think it starts with some of my all-time favourite NYC episodes at various houses in the Hamptons with TOO MANY Housewives, and Bethenny effortlessly re-claiming her throne as TOP DOG :disco:

This is just the advice I was looking for since watching 12 seasons was daunting, and some of them aren't even in HD!

I watched the Season 1 and 2 reunions though to get a flavour of what happened. Alex's creepy husband is quite something

The Brooklyn Bridge assassination must be one of the most replayed flashback clips ever too. They dig it out whenever they need QUICK PROOF that Ramona Singer is an absolutely terrible human being :D
 
I rewatched episode 2 of season 7 following this thread early today. It REALLY is one of the all time best :disco:

Luann being dragged in by Ramona as judge, jury and executioner in regards to BRUNCH INVITATION ETIQUETTE had me howling, as did Ramona’s “email problems” :D

The first time Sonja and Dorinda meet is on camera in this ep too!
 
I don’t mean to interrupt the NYC love fest but I’m finishing Married to Medicine season 2 and this show is amazing. You all need to investigate.

I love Davina just because she’s so miserable and awful. Like a dark cloud of bad luck and sourness that infects the room whenever she walks in.

Mary’s boy toy husband is a neanderthal, the way he acts and talks. He’s like a cave man.
 
I love the conspiracy theory that Romain is an actor pretending to be French.
 
I think he’s a broccoli pretending to be human.
 
I would say both the broccoli and the actor theory are perfectly reasonable and not mutually exclusive. He really seems as thick as his accent, welp.

And then Ramona would throw her arms up in the air In exasperation and say „I’m sorry, ok, I apologize“ three times while leaving whatever room they’re in, trying to find her white wine.

We call it „The Singer Blueprint“.
 
Oh wow, I thought Ramona was gonna get the boot rather than Dorinda leaving/getting the boot.
 
No matter what dumb stuff she has said, I will ALWAYS love Dorinda.
Never has a Housewife been so immediately at home on the show as she has in season 7 (aside perhaps from Marge on New Jersey).

I guess this officially ends the third main "era" on NYC that kind of started with Dorinda at season 7. I wonder if Ramona or Sonja will leave also.
 
I await reddit GOSSIP, but I doubt she was actually fired.
I can't see Bravo being desperate to lose her, especially with the Berkshires being such a key part of the show. It also feels a bit EARLY to be announcing departures for the next season. Maybe she really has just had enough.

There has been rumblings of them wanting to shake things off and go younger for a while now. I expect Sonja is on the chopping block as well.

I worry about the NYC women because I love them and also they don’t have anything else.
 
I think Ramona and Luann would be fine if fired (well providing Luann can start doing her surprisingly lucrative cabaret again :eyes:).
I think Bravo have a borderline duty-of-care towards Sonja if they let her go. She's clearly NOT OK, financially in particular.

I think Luann is relatively safe for a few seasons though. She's looking SNATCHED and had the smarts to pretend to be friends with Leah.
 
Sonja clearly relies on RHONY so badly in so many ways, it actually is quite sad, really.

And agreed, the Countess had a good season in terms of getting more mileage out of RHONY.

From what I've read about Sonja's Townhouse (hai again reddit :eyes:) is that:
- It needs EXTENSIVE work and remodelling to get it into a sellable condition
- There's much better properties on the market in the same area for cheaper than she's trying to flog it for
- It's literally next to a GARAGE so quite loud and unclean from all the cars...
- ...and Sonja took out another mortgage on it to finance her doomed film project around the time she first joined the show, which meant she went from essentially OWNING THE PLACE OUTRIGHT to having a massive, massive monthly mortgage that she's clearly been struggling to keep up with since. :manson:/:bruised:
 
I was so confused by her saying it costs $50k month in maintenence but she ‘only’ rents it out for $32k/month.
 
She started a film production company - SONJA PRODUCTIONS - and agreed to fund a film project (starring John Travolta!) with money she quite clearly didn’t have :D then pulled out last minute and was sued for fraud.
 
Sonja is generally adorable, but has made some of the most LUDICROUSLY STUPID financial decisions I've ever seen on a reality show.

She's very lucky she has a MORGAN daughter, as I'm fairly sure one day her daughter (or the Morgan family themselves) will have to bite the bullet and bail her out.
 
Any mention of RHONY has been scrubbed from Ramona's Insta bio.
