RuPaul's Drag Race

My actual most hated queens are probably PhiPhi O'Hara and Laganja, but I can't deny that both were utterly essential to their respective series.
 
Everything came up roses when Phi-Phi was sat like a man with a Barbara Cartland wig on during the final, failing to win the audience over and being killed with kindness by Needles. I can't take my eyes off it for a second.

I loved Pandora in her season, but she was TERRIBLE in All Stars, mind you, I'd have been FUMING if I'd have been paired with that USELESS queen.
 
Who is the one who has now transitioned into a woman? I can't remember.

The Untucked episodes in season 4 were as compelling as any piece of television I've ever seen. What a PSYCHO.

She failed to use that to her advantage though. I think what was said by Ru and the other contestants (bringing the same outfit, "what do you think the universe is trying to tell you?" etc) was very true. The not at all scripted car-park pep talk is highly amusing though (but certainly no "glue that fucking eye-lash back on").

Phi Phi and Laganja were terrible but essential television, also their targets were more than capable of defending themselves. Roxxy and Detox and to a certain extent the Heathers were terrible because they just picked on girls who just didn't know how to push them away.

I knew about Monica, it was Carmen I was thinking of. I didn't know about Sonique though. Was that mentioned during the show?

Sonique revealed it during the reunion episode.

I loved how with Monica they were all "We're so proud of you, you belong here" and then next episode - BOOT! :basil:

Poor VIVI. She's actually quite funny on the Alyssa's Secret web series. So yeah as a sidekick.
 
My least favourite queen of ALL TIME is Roxxxy Andrews. She was just a HATEFUL cunt. It was why I was willing so much for Jinkx to win. I'm glad Alaska seemed to drop Roxxxy after the show.

Toxic personality though - but she did have some amazing looks to give her some credit.
 
I was reliving the horror of NPB (from Atlanta Georgia) resembling a drunk horse on its hind legs during the 'make it rain' challenge, then cut to Dita Von Teese swallowing back some sick whilst remaining motionless.

I find it hard to fancy any of them out of drag, they're all too plucked for my liking. I did kinda fancy Bianca out of drag though

Sure she had some amazing looks, but she wasn't even a FUNNY cunt she was just NASTY.

I think Raven was one of the worst in that regard actually. Although obviously amazing in almost all other ways.

That said, one of my all-time favourite moments from the show is Tatianna's unbelievably patronising "I think Nicole thought she made a friend!" - followed by the cut to Nicole looking GENUINELY GRATEFUL.
 
Tatianna would make a great All Stars 2 addition. She's not someone who adjusts their behaviour to go with the flow, and "hide the cucumber - I always win" was an iconic performance.

Nah, Raven was NEVER as mean as Roxxxy or PhiPhi (sabotaging poor dumb Giggly). She was a bit nasty to Tatiana but that's about it.

I do love Chad, and I respect bestsellingauthor Merle Ginsberg's decision to change her gender to become him.

Sharon immediately became a Lady Gaga style mouthpiece for being different, so I'm not that worried that she's lost it completely as "quit relying on the bodyguard soundtrack" was a minor flash of what made her stand out.

Bianca was basically a talking head, Super Mario in drag with heavy make-up ("apply it!" indeed), and actually wasn't all that in the acting challenges (being upstage by TKB, and even Joslyn was better - "no you stupid bitch"). It was like a mini googlebox within Drag Race, which obviously had great appeal and it was a deserving win managing to keep it going until "really queen".

Jinkx really delivered when it came to acting, but none of the looks (including the voodoo pirate one) appealed to me at all. Both she and Alaska humiliating Roxxy by nothing other than being amazing in the courtroom challenge stood out most, and I actually do want to get the Grey Gardens movie and documentary because of her snatch. She was the one to root for.

Raja really was rather unpleasant to watch, but the looks were a cut above and I've since started liking her. She works well with Raven on their Fashion Police substitute.

Bebe's sultry stage presence is impeccable, but Tammie calling her "my little African cherry" is about as much as I can remember anything else of her.

Tyra, I started to appreciate only when going back. Being dull *and* obnoxious is a rare combo.
