Shea is amazing. Now that I live in the same city as her, I see her often and she's a delight to talk to. Super friendly.

I was going to go there on my recent North American trip but didn't in the end. We could have lambed out. :disco:
 
Twitter banned Drag Race contestant Aja for calling a trans exclusive radical feminist (TERF) a “senseless cow”.
The fan-favourite queen – who appeared on All Stars 3 earlier this year – identifies as non-binary, and was told by Twitter user @radkween that their gender identity “wasn’t real”.

Yesterday (1 August), they hit back: “Shut the fuck up you fucking terf – calling me a misogynistic troll? You are a bitter ass fake feminist. Real feminists support all women and all genders equality. Don’t misgender me. You senseless cow.”

Aja was banned from Twitter shortly after, and expressed their disgust at the social media platform – and TERFS – on their Facebook account.

They told their followers: “I got banned from twitter because I called a a girl from a group of Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminists who were all saying my gender identity wasn’t real a senseless cow.

“But twitter didn’t ban the 200-300 people literally devalidating my non-binary identity. But I’m here like I might be blocked but guess what I still identify the same way, I am well validated and alive and happy and nobody can take that.

“Also feminism can be practiced by anyone who believes in equality amongst men and women. Because people keep telling me I can’t be a feminist and that trans women aren’t included in feminism. A vagina does not make a woman and neither do breasts. That social construct of an idea is extremely over. But hey maybe it’s just me.”

Aja’s Twitter account has now been reinstated.

Anyway, apparently Ru said on the podcast that he had a meltdown during the filming of AS4 and screamed at everyone.

Pearl says that before Season 7 started filming, all of the cast hopefuls were gathered to lip sync to Ru's songs. And Pearl, being a beginner queen who idolized RuPaul, went up to her and gushed about how much she loved her and how thankful she was for the opportunity etc etc. And Ru just turned to Pearl and said "Nothing you say matters unless that camera is rolling" and walked away.

Has that only just come out? That's almost word for word what she said when I saw her, so must have been part of the act everywhere.

And let's face it, she's got a fucking POINT!
 
She does but also those kind of you didn’t get rapped cause you’re ugly jokes are very dated and not edgy just unoriginal.

It just fits with her whole schtick. The whole show was jokes like that about EVERYONE.
 
Well she probably needs to update her material.
 
The joke isn’t very succinctly delivered but it does pick up on the valid observation that the editing and exploitative nature of the show meant that when watching the moment of Blair’s reveal it felt very jarred in and inappropriate. There are plenty of opportunities on that show to discuss personal experiences, particularly in the work room, so it felt a bit like attempting to retread the more real moment of Roxxxy and the bus stop.

Of course because that point is a bit complex it needed more intelligence and thought than “RAPE LOL” which is essentially what Bianca did.
 
I think Bianca is bright enough to know what she is doing with this schtick and I'm sure "RAPE LOL" is far from his intention.

It’s not funny but this isn’t exactly new

It's less funny and more just lolomgwtf. It's more a 'joke' you'd tell around the 'right' people, not something you'd do in public like that.

I was indeed and YES I laughed! The public were a mix of :o and :D

Apparently the Montreal Pride site didn’t mention Bianca and appologised for the jokes that were made. I get that it’s a very tricky subject to joke about but if anyone could get away with it, then it’s someone like Bianca. I mean you should expect some of that humour when you ask HER to host.

She definitely has a point as for the timing of the revelation. And when you see the whole act and the shade she threw at Ru and the production, you get that it was directed at the show rather than Blair.
 
I don't think anyone believes that Bianca was questioning anyone's validity, it's just the delivery of the joke itself.
 
While I agree with most of what has been said here, I almost want to say that I think Bianca’s humour seems lazier than it ever did on the show. She’s always been a fucking bitch but her observations were never as basic as just calling someone fat or saying they were raped.
