Ellie and Vito my faves, though I've given my three votes to Layton and Nikita as tonight THEY NEED THEM
 
I voted Angela and Carlos for shits and giggles. Agree that Ellie and Vito don't need votes yet.
 
It blows my mind how they can't get better music acts for the results show. It gets like 5 million more viewers than any other music slot on UK tv, but it's the likes of Rick Astley, Jorja Smith and Texas?
 
To be fair they do this all the time with less famous versions of songs that have arrangements to suit the dance.

In this case I can imagine Bobby being familiar with Maxwell's version.
 
Thought Layton might be in trouble. It wasn’t a very audience pleasing dance, and he’s been lacking general “musicality” for a while.
 
WHY is Musicals Week always so late in the game?

And while Dirty Dancing was made into a shockingly poor stage show, it’s a fucking movie and not even a musical at that.
 
I'm so pleased Annabel has made it to final 5 without even going bottom 2! Love her and probably the most improved over the series.
 
Shirley was right!! :o Character of the dance was wrong for Layton and Nikita.

They will probably be bottom 2 for the rest of the series based on what I've read from the public online.
 
It was a duff week for them, but I want three more weeks of Layton and Nikita (with a show dance :disco:), so GET THEM TO THAT FINAL PLEASE.
 
That felt like a pointed message to Nikita from Shirley there.

I'm sad to see Angela and Carlos go, even if it felt like they clicked more personally than they did consistently on the dancefloor.
 
I was going to say I was amazed that Carlos held it together for the interview. Bless him.
 
Holy crap. Just got through Sharleen's Jimmy Saville karaoke impersonation - you can see that any night in the once moopy-famous Katie's Bar. Unless she was having a stroke, in which case she did amazing.
 
Musicals Week numbers revealed

Nigel and Katya – “Step in Time” from Mary Poppins (Charleston)
Bobby and Dianne – “I’ve Had the Time of My Life” from Dirty Dancing (Salsa)
Ellie and Vito – “Belle” from Beauty and the Beast (Quickstep)
Layton and Nikita – Backstage Romance from Moulin Rouge! The Musical (Paso Doble)
Annabel and Johannes – “For Good” from Wicked (Foxtrot)

So only ONE of those is from an original stage musical that wasn’t a film first, and one not even an actual musical.

Looking forward to see Johannes being either Elphaba or Glinda!
 
Not exactly going for originality with Bobby's dance.

I suspect Craig's ten paddle may make an appearance for Layton (and/or Ellie) this week.

Betting odds have had Ellie as the clear odds on favourite for weeks now but on Betfair, exchange betting is seeing a massive increase of bets towards Annabel...

Yep. Been my mum’s favourite from the start with the typical “oh he was gooorgeous in Eastenders but is even lovelier now”

Bobby possibly in trouble with the incredibly uninspired dance and song. I’m not a fan of the Foxtrot especially late in the stages as it’s not showy at all. Hoping Annabel can knock it out of the park with the very inspired song choice.

The BBC news piece says it is 'not clear' if there will be an elimination this week. We'll see what happens I guess. I didn’t like the two couple final when AJ had to drop out but keeping them all in would leave them a Sunday show to fill.

They were in It Takes Two last night and I didn't catch anything being mentioned about an injury, so either it happened later yesterday or they were keeping it to themselves.
