Why am I getting deja vu re: this Sinner discussion and cwej's feelings about him haha!
Cos I'm like a broken record. I'll be back onto Emma R next...

I wouldn't call Madison Keys and up and comer...Alex Eala just won the first set against Madison Keys, another talented up and comer.
Not Radacanu through to the quarter finals of a WTA1000 event. A not unimpressive scoreline over Anisimova who's had some great results this year (not least knocking Andreeva out in the last round). I want to back Emma so badly, but she does make it hard most the time.Navarro, other than vulturing an event she was way overranked for, has not been in great form this season in my opinion but I’ll not try and take the win away from Emma R, she stuck that one out.
I’m never sad to see Medvedev lose, just not a fan of how he speaks/has spoken to officials repeatedly in the past.
Sorry to sound so contrary!
You do wonder if her childhood rival coming for her ranking has reignited a fire inside.... or could just be a good run... time will tell. She saw Sonay coming for the British no.2 spot and now she's a win away from overtaking Boulter to be no.1 again.
He did indeed do it, in two tough tiebreak sets. I do think Djokovic has one final slam in him, but I think that's all he's got left in him at the top level. Of course he'd be capable of sticking around as a solid player for a few more years yet if that's what he wanted to do.Latest TEEN SENSATION Jakub Mensik faces resurgent Djokovic in Miami final. Come on Jakub LAD. He should be motivated to step up & show the old man the new generation has ARRIVED.
Meanwhile another Sabs Pegula hardcourt final.
I got the sense that maybe his window had closed with all his horrid form after losing in Oz but I don't think we're quite OUT OF THE WOODS with him as a slam threat yet, especially with Alcaraz also out of form, but hopefully that's his number 1 opportunities gone. Fall from top 5 next pleaseZverev crashed out of the Monte Carlo Masters in his first match today and therefore is no longer able to take over the number 1 ranking before Sinner returns. What a terrible shame.![]()
