I'm trying to find a photo of Alexander with his hand up against Joe at the round table but can't find a good one.

Oh right. Her explanation of it clearly went over my head at the time :D

She was mixing that explanation in with the fact that she had specifically chosen Charlotte, her closest ally, so she's saying why would she choose Charlotte of all people to lie about, when she would want to keep someone as close to her in til the end (a la Harry/Molly).

No, more the fact that it's a combination - it should be one or the other.

And how did Leanne and Jake do the same?

I just meant that surely Leanne and Jake “plotted”/ discussed what happened at the end game and decided between them to off everyone else because they couldn’t be 100% sure. It’s the same principle, though, granted, they didn’t have confirmed information like Frankie had.

I have no problem with scheming like that as a faithful, if you're operating on blind faith in who you're discussing it with.

And as suspected that was an absolute flop of an ending. What were they thinking!?

I enjoyed the whole episode. I concede, far from ideal winners, but Jake was absolutely fine and Leanne was at least good TV. Honestly some of you pigs are hard to please.

I'm not sure I have a favourite series, they've all excelled in various ways. Still the most compelling piece of TV out there.

I was annoyed when Charlotte was eliminated so early and thought the momentum would be drained from the episode, but they did a good job in terms of keeping the tension alive, all things considered.

Francesca and Charlotte were the stars in the end, really.

I think it was probably my favourite series so far, albeit with my least favourite ending.

But then I think I may have felt differently about the ending of series one, had it not all been so new. The fact that I found Wilf so repellent also helped dampen my qualms about how he was screwed over as well.

The series itself was fine. My least favourite of the UK 3 but they’ve all been good. The finale was a damp squib.

I don’t really remember much of 2 beyond Harry crushing Molly’s gentle spirit at the end and Paul being cartoonishly evil. So I’d rank 3 above that, but series one had so many iconic characters, and the finale with the scales falling from Hannah’s eyes at the final moment was as gripping as this format gets.

So I’d rank it 1,3,2 at the moment.

I’m tempted to re-watch one and two actually. I tried to start on the latest US one last night but I just couldn’t bear the obnoxiously performative contestants.

I'll watch the US one, but yes there is quite a tonal shift, and I suspected I wouldn't like switching straight to it.

Also slightly inclined not start watching until it's all over as well, because waiting for one episode a week is shit.

This is where I'm at with it all

I know Charlotte, Frankie's and Alexander's identities weren't revealed, but did Leanne and Jake REALLY think after getting rid of three Traitors, they were all Traitors too? It does seem personal and that Jake and Leanne had agreed beforehand to work together. :(

The US series have always been a bit of a struggle in the first half and this latest one is no different. There is one contestant in particular that I think needs to go to make things instantly more bearable.

I already know that Dorinda and Bob are both eliminated early, which makes it really difficult to feel motivated to get invested. :(

I do think that if you don't KNOW you've banished a traitor at that stage though, you will go on banishing who you have any concern about, particularly if you're working with someone who you do have faith in - and if you're going to increase your share if you win.

There's a good chance however that whoever Francesca had picked, we'd have ended up with the same two winners. Isn't there?

I don't think it's personal, it's just probability. Anyone remaining in the game with you still has a chance of being a traitor, even if it's a tiny one, so if you're faithful you might as well reduce the numbers as far as possible to minimise the chance of being left with one.

And the person that led the charge on Bob is the one I despise the most, and it may be hysterical but it genuinely felt a touch PROBLEMATIC, as well as being stunningly bad gameplay

They literally didn’t think that five of the last seven were Traitors what?

Yes, but at least if she had used Seer to confirm Alexander as Faithful, we'd have had two groups of two who needed a third, and there would have been genuine tension and an uncertain result. Charlotte was probably fucked either way, but at least we wouldn't have known which faithful would win
