Clothes are going to get very expensive over there and it’s not possible to just make them in the US instead. They don’t have cheap enough labour to compete with China/Vietnam/Bangledesh, and don’t have the skills/infrastructure to compete with stuff produced in Europe.
Even if they do try and make them over there, the textiles will still be coming from India/China/Italy predominately.
It’d take decades to make any meaningful change to the already existing global supply chain.
And they’re in the process of removing all the immigrants who are more likely to be in that supply chain
