How much do people think Gladiators has legs? I'm not convinced it will hold up for that long.
They need more lean and fast people rather than just body builders! It really does need tweaking, but it's an easy watch and the gladiator types are arguably an aspirational aesthetic for many people these days, so it would be a misshap if the BBC failed to develop it more for the next series.

It got 4.5 million in the overnights last night and would assume it will pick up another million or so on other platforms which is still a very respectable figure for any tv show in 2024. I think the second weeks consolidated figures will be in the chart @lolly posts this week?
Wow!the last episode of Uncloaked got 3.967m immediately after.
Surely it will return as more than a 'visualised podcast' next year. I can imagine it getting something more similar to You're Fired for The Apprentice.Wow!
Is Uncloaked not classed as a programme in its own right? Why does it not appear in the chart? That was 8.026m for the final of The Traitors. And the last episode of Uncloaked got 3.967m immediately after.

Because I use the average for shows with multiple episodes. And neither of the other episodes of Uncloaked appeared in the Top 50 shows of the week, so I don't know the figures. Is Uncloaked not classed as a programme in its own right? Why does it not appear in the chart?

The #50 show (ITV Evening News on Monday) had 2.822m.
Why bother though? It's relatively cheap and cheerful, and this way it tops the charts for both iPlayer and (presumably) BBC Sounds. I could see You're Fired adapting to become more like Uncloaked than the other way round tbh.Surely it will return as more than a 'visualised podcast' next year. I just think it could be better. And you could have a podcast AND a better TV show. Why bother though? I think Uncloaked works pretty well as a tv show too*. It's interesting enough to look at for the traitor reveals to the losing contestants alone, imo.

BARB lists all episodes. I decided to only include one (or else sometimes the top 20 would have around 10 shows in it and be quite dull), and thought the average was better than the top show only. Although for the soaps, there's not much variation as you can probably imagine, unless an episode has been put on at a different time which always catches people out, despite iPlayer and ITVX. It happened this week when an episode of Coronation Street was on at 9pm and consequently ITV lost over half a million viewers for it.
I don't think there's much secrecy, to be honest - at least for the 7 day figures, which are in the public domain. It irritates me that BARB don't give the 28 day catch up figures any more, which they used to until about 2 years ago. Now you'll only hear about them if the BBC or ITV decide to tweet about an individual show or issue a press release.
There's also more transparency for commercial TV than the BBC. On Thinkbox you can filter for the top 50 of all commercial channels - right down to tiny audiences of less than 10k for some shows. And get interesting () demographic info.

Just looking at Wikipedia to see if anyone has posted them, but for some weeks it just states < a figure - so I assume that's someone looking at the #50 of the week. It's annoying that you can't see viewing figures for BBC shows that don't make the top 50 - I was wondering about Survivor figures after it dropped out of the top 50 and was never able to find them.
If I included the highest rated show of the week rather than the average, Coronation Street would be one place higher, with no change for Emmerdale or EastEnders.
Yes, it's up a little on the previous week - so appears to have levelled out after two weeks of falling. And I think the BBC would have been very happy had it opened with 6.5m in the first place.YAY at Gladiators
As expected, The Apprentice does very well on catch up - adding over 2.6m from the overnights. It's still down over 800k on the opening week last year, but I don't think it will be going anywhere for a few years yet, unless it collapses over the run of the series, which it doesn't usually do.
