Where are you spending Christmas this year?

At home for me, just Mr C and myself. I had invited my brother, but he's spending the day with a friend that has an ankle monitor so can't visit his family which is very kind of him 🙏

Parents in North Belfast. Then maybe Donegal between Christmas and New Years or bf's parents' along the Antrim coast.

This may be the last in Scotland, as there is no point in this house sitting doing nothing for the majority of the year and I am not sure if that’s why I am kind of dreading it. LET’S GO OUT WITH A BANG. :disco:

At home in London, with a local pub booked for Christmas Day lunch

We’ve ended up with the tradition of both sets of folks coming over and its nice, and I deffos should embrace and appreciate it, but I hate routine and I’d really like to do something else next year.

All the family at my older sister's on Christmas Eve - this is our main celebration.
My younger sister's place for Christmas Day breakfast, then my older sister's for Christmas Day lunch.
My place on Boxing Day when I'm hosting everyone.

Christmas lunch on Christmas eve at my parents' place. dinner with brother and fam that evening. Christmas day at home but the MAIN EVENT is the 24th for mysterious reasons.

At mums. We will be best friends until midday and then I expect some kind of kick off to occur

Xmas Eve and Xmas Day - the whole family will be at my parents place! Brother and his wife are back in the UK. First Xmas with all six of us. Eve will be the annual trip to Mersea Island for FISH, before the traditional meal. Xmas Day standard meal at folks, will hopefully be back for a longer evening with the husband.

Boxing Day - in laws :(

Where in the World has the main event on Christmas Eve? I know Sweden does, so is it all the Nordic countries? We all go out for dinner on Christmas Eve, followed by the main event on Christmas Day at the house then a big buffet on Boxing Day. The main event has always very much been the 25th for us.

Lots of Europe, to be honest.

The plan was Germany until he went and broke up with me, cancelling Christmas in the process, which stung a bit :)

So, at home.

Shame, it would've been interesting. Maybe some other year as a family friend which is the status I seem to have settled on.

As it stands the flight tickets were non refundable and have been rescheduled to a convention in April.

I’m sure your parents will be over the moon to have you at home for Christmas.

I will be dividing my time between Dormitorul Meu, La Cuina, Woonkamer and Llavabo.

I'm actually very excited for Christmas day this year.

My younger brother and his wife moved to the island two years ago and finally have their house sorted so we're going to theirs for the whole day and evening.

There's me, Mandy
My mum and her husband, his daughter, his son & wife and their two kids.

The only issue we have is we are driving there but then all drinking, there's no buses or taxis, so we have to walk home In the evening, about an hour.

They live practically on the beach, so I plan on getting to theirs at midday and going for coffee on the beach!

It is looking quite BALMY for Christmas Day this year. Why can it not just snow FOR ONE YEAR? :argh:

We'll be working on the day, and Boxing Day. Never worked Christmas Day before and feel mostly unbothered by it, mostly because we've got heaps of time off afterwards and our official Christmas Eve/Day for us this year is the 27/28th at my mum's because why not
