RuPaul's Drag Race (1 Viewer)

Dannii would be magnificent. And as an added bonus, a cast of worn out drag queens would actually recognise all her obscure pop culture references. :disco:

I don't think that necassarily matters. If you've ever listened to Ru and Michelle's podcast you'll know that Ru is barely able to construct a coherent sentence when he's not scripted. Most of his lines, and I daresay the other judges too, are fed through an earpiece.

You have seen Drag Queens of London, right? And that's not taking into account the provincials!

Oh God. The drag 'queens' in Manchester are a rogue's gallery. I'd hate to see some of those withered sex-pests celebrated on television.

If Dannii does it I hope a full account of the urban myth that she chased a drag queen with a dildo in her hand trying to hit it during her cocaine-fueled 90s can finally come out.

I'd rather they go with the grubby feel of the contestants and get Julien McDonald.

The new season still doesn't have a premiere date. Jan 26th seemed likely at one point but now it looks like it's may just be sometime in "Spring" :zombie:

So what the T about this? Are they reshooting? Are the seams coming off? Are they waiting for Michelle? Is this the season the show will jump the shark?

I was ready for end of January and now I'm pissed.

omg :D

I think Manchester has some incredible queens, actually.

Granted, we have Belinda Scandal, Nana and Sister Jacqui Moff but we also have Cheddar Gawjus, Anna Phylactic and Lill and their looks are on another level.

TOTALLY. I have no idea about the mainstream queens, but the ones on the queer scene are just INCREDIBLE.

The Divine David would be an amazingly irreverent contrast to Ru's LA diva slickness if they wanted to really ramp up a British version.

My most-watched video of the past 12 months...

Sadly we'd more likely end up with Lauren Harries.

Well it is entertaining but that's like the opposite of Drag Race sanitized style.

I'm seeing Adore tomorrow night :disco:

Unfortunately I'll need to endure Munter with a face like someone shat in his handbag :daf:

If you want a bit of funny Michelle, you should listen to this week's episode of what's the tee in which she talks about how she used to sleep with Rufus Sewell and hang out with drag queens back when she started. Then the podcasts descends into the usual trying to sell me cheap make up.

i am going to see the haus of edwards in march, i am not such a fan so i am not expecting much.

i saw adore earlier in the year at meth lab, she did one song then cut to an interlude, forgot her words to covers so me and my ex just decided to get pissed upstairs and then quite fittingly when i had my picture taken with her and my her eyes were closed and then i slept with my ex. a pretty terrible night all in all.

Who's the third component of the Haus of Edwards?

I did enjoy this cunty response to the reddit panic

Yes, we've seen your tweets and we have an announcement:

It's Alyssa, Laganja and Shangela, no?

POOR VIVIENNE.

EDIT: Jill beat me to it.

I think they'd be good live. Shangela especially.

Oh cool, I didn't realise Shangela was involved.

There is some speculation that the delay is due to Michelle's involvement in CBB, either because she'd be needed in pre-show publicity or because they want to sell the show to Channel 5 based on her presumed success. I doubt they'd hold back for that though.

Neither do I, I just searched for it and got a summary.

I went on reddit the other and they had a list of the guest judges and the challenges and they seemed quite fun so I have faith. I just don't get the delay, unless logo is trying to launch other shows and want to benefit from the drag race viewers.

JOHN WATERS :disco:

Oh great, spoilers.

Anyway, reddit has a massive audience. I benefited from being linked, as one of my RuPaul youtube uploads that got off to a slow start suddenly was getting roughly a thousand each day, which is what they can do when they get going anyway, but the hits at that point were all from RuPaul reddit. Sharon Needles to say, that's where I now go to get that promo bitch if I make new ones. So Phoenix, get onnit.

Sorb I've been meaning to say. There doesn't seem to be a Youtube compilation of Michelle's greatest Drag Race moments. There's an opportunity there...

(Please include "Is that Bacon?" and every time she hated hard on "Rolodex".)

Well that should only take about 45 seconds so I'm sure you could knock them both up in a night.

Well gays, I've finally started watching this hot trash on Netflix. Almost finished series 1 - loving it!

Thankfully it takes very little time to get through a series... When should I be READY for?

I'd say from season 2 on it gets better, the budget increase happens in season 3 and by season 4 it's all quite glossy.

Opinions vary but season 4 is where it really peaks for me.

Michelle Visage replaces dreary Merle in series 3 and certainly ups the ante - though season two is already a marked improvement on one.

Having said that, I can imagine how it could improve. There's a severe lack of FIERCE GURLLS.

Well I'm enjoying series 1, so my HOPES are VERY HIGH.

What is Untucked?

Mainly shows the girls backstage, throwing lots of shade at eachother or telling their sob stories. There wasn't one for season 1.
