Also I think there needs to be a conversation on protocol when it comes to splitting posts into a new thread and adding a title which is then attributed to the first poster without them being aware. In this case it looks like I am making an accusation against Azealia Banks. Without being a messy bitch who lives for the drama, it’s quite alarming that mods can put words into posters’ mouths without their consent in this way.
 
I changed it and I have no desire to change the title. A conversation on splitting topics slows down the flow of convo.
 
I’m not happy with that at all. I would like it changed to the title I suggested, given how I would be seen as the author of the title to all and sundry. This sets a precedent I am not comfortable with and I think it’s unfair.
 
I agree with your decision to split it Ag, but I think dUb's request to change it in view of his 'ownership' of it is fair enough.
 
The precedent is long set and that you started that theme, is bad luck. Her homophobia in the past is part of the story. I have however taken it to the mod forum.

Splitting it is absolutely fair enough. That's good moderating. Retitling it is fair enough.

But in this case specifically where a judgement has been made in the title that dUb absolutely does not agree with, then I think him asking for it to be changed it completely reasonable. Had he started the topic, he never would have given it that title.

I am admittedly in a bit of a mood this evening and the thread in question is ridiculous but there is a principle here and I stand by my position. Look forward to hearing back!

You can, I found out when Family Fortunes, you can edit the title of your own threads. I checked now with a post that was splitted and I also can change it.

I would suggest mods try not to add their own opinions when adding thread titles in future.

If I was mod, I'd be separating all the Race Chaser and What's The Tee ones into a separate podcast thread, or perhaps individual threads as well probably, but that's just me for you. Either way, Dancing Queen definitely deserves a thread of its own.
