What is Saturday please?

MORNING!

5:30 start for me again- very misty here though, which thankfully meantI couldn't go for a run as planned :disco:

How is it out on the sea front? Are people staying in?

Generally in the past week or so it's been busy, but not ridiculous, and mostly with people observing the distancing rules and being out in partners. The last few days have died down...until yesterday. I went out food shopping and it was noticeably busy everywhere- the queue for Asda (which I drove past rather than shopping at) was LUDICROUS- can't really describe it but at least 100 people long. I bumped into my nephew as I dropped off some stuff at my Mum's and he said everywhere had been crazy. Makes me worry what this weekend's weather is going to bring...

We have a beautiful park about a 15 minute walk away - beautifully landscaped, and it has a lake, skate park, playground, library and a variety of paths going through and around it. My mum's flat partly overlooks it and she was telling me last night how busy it looked yesterday. I imagine any park is going to be an attractive option for daily exercise/dog walking etc, but it seems clear that people are not using it as they should right now.

This morning I've seen updates from the council and police stating they have closed both the car parks attached to the park because people are gathering there, not using it appropriately, and the sheer volume of people makes keeping 2m apart impossible.

The weather here this morning is beautiful and temperatures are meant to be hitting 20°. I'm sure it will be even worse.

My fridge, freezer and cupboards are brimming, and I really don't need to food shop for a week.

But am I allowed to pop to the co-op for some paprika? I fancy making a paella and I'm all out :shy:

FUCK IT! How much damage can be caused by popping to the Co-Op?

(Pick up something ESSENTIAL to make sure you're ok if you get stopped by the ROZZERS though)

I bunked off Thursday and yesterday but I have a full week and a Saturday next week. And I still don't have a mask of any description. OH WELL.

Yeah I’ve more tinned tomatoes than I care to mention as I always pick up a couple on a BOOZE RUN
I made bloody Mary's last night using a blender and cherry tomatoes and it came out PINK and frothy and not great. I should've stick tinned ones in! I too have loads but forget they're there unless I'm making a SPAG BOL

There are quite a few stories of general police cuntyness knocking around now, like them asking to check how much of your shopping is truly "essential" and so on, which is outwith their powers. Fuck the pigs.

Surely supporting shops at this time is a GOOD THING though. I don't like the Gestaponess of someone checking your bags.

I did a Tesco big shop on Tuesday. Had six boxes of cat food (they're 3 for £7) and was asked how many cats I had! I GET IT, but also don't put special offers on stuff if you want people to ration.

I also got some RICE taken off me. :(

I did see someone trying to buy 24 packs of microwave rice just before lockdown and he just looked furious with himself. I dunno if they let him have it or not.

I’m really into microwave rice at the minute actually.

I don't mind a pack myself with the right accompaniment but I think the reason this chap was raging with himself was because the entire 24 pack tray consisted on Tilda Coconut Rice which was clearly all that was left. Harder to work with.

Got an email from the Open University informing me that I don't need to submit my final course assessment and grading will be based off the previous three assignments submitted. Yay that I don't have to stress out and write an essay, but it's all a bit anticlimatic.

So I guess I have 8.3% of a degree now.

I bought two packs of wholewheat pasta in the madness 2 weeks ago which is never getting eaten.

I'm wearing one when I'm public facing in surgery, but feel too ridiculous at any other time.

I'm doing alright without a mask on my walks. People have always crossed over the road to avoid walking past Ridley so it's all good. :D

make a stew or minestrone

I was feeling a bit MEH today. I put my Spotify on shuffle and on pops Boney M - Rivers of Babylon and it has perked me up. I thought of Moopy straight away.
