Well, it's an "open-end" game, so if they were ever gonna put in the credits somewhere, that was a pretty good place to do it, honestly.
 
Why do people hate my village? I mean it’s a little Au Naturel but it’s not like it’s Slough.

There’s a shit-ton of flowers, but I guess there’s not that much outside. I just didn’t want to cram up with place with outdoor furniture that looks like. Like youtubers cramming a park with leather sofas :manson:

my feedback is literally “there aren’t that many ghosts so I like that” :) :D
 
I assume it's automatically seeing if boxes have been ticked: fences, flowers, coverage and distribution of items, categories being accounted for, etc. I also have been making sure I write letters to the residents every day, which I'm sure helps get the evaluations up.

I finally did some redesigning to get my island in good shape. Managed to negotiate some bamboo from the back of a lorry and have a little Japanese bamboo area in the woods.

put fake paths (dropping patterns) on the floor of cobblestones that I drew. Hope I can unlock paths soon. I thought I had some pro design palette but it was just one shade of grey...

I’m making a little rest area too with vending machines and a portaloo.

made a small shitty park near my museum too. I’ve realised I just don’t have as much free space as other islands I’ve visited. Hoping for terraforming soon...
 
Oh and I’ve been trying to invite a chicken via Amiibo card (from happy home designer). He’s visited the campsite twice and demanded a particular furniture item. Then when he says he loves the plays, and I get the chance to ask him to stay, he says ... hmm let me think, and invite me again. Getting a bit tired of him now, I might just visit some islands and recruit someone there
 
Paths haven't been my friend so far. They don't go diagonally, so I have experimented by putting down squares of path in a checkered manner to "get around" the problem of corners.

I take it money trees stop being money trees when you move them fully grown? If so, that's very annoying as I've been temporarily plonking them in my middle island, which will soon become my luxury pool party area when the right materials become available.

I also have a tacky fairground area, but only because I couldn't resist those teacups.

I'm barely making money - I'm convinced the game doesn't want you catching bugs whilst there's SO MUCH FUN to be had finding eggs.
 
I've started turning most of my coconuts into coconut juice, so those sell for a lot more and the bunny egg crafted items like clothing sell for a good amount.

But fishing and bug-catching is easily less lucrative right now - especially at night without the emperor butterflies.

collecting loads of cherry blossom petals but I’ll be buggered if I can find recipes for them. I heard the season finishes on the 10th so I’d better get them soon.

managed to go to another island to get the Sakura forest floor and the lanterns I wanted. But I’ve only got a few recipes myself: the bento everyone has, the Sakura wood floor (shit) and the Sakura forest wall. And an umbrella. Bloody hell
 
@straightorbroken The money trees only bloom once, if you pick them up after planting, it’ll be called a money tree. But after you get the bells it’ll just be hardwood.

might cut them down while it’s still Sakura season, they’ll be easier to find in my cedar forests
 
Oh you guys! After being read the house down boots by Isabelle, I’ve managed to landscape my way to 3 stars, so the KKK will visit tomorrow!

I think that will unlocks landscaping, so I can finally make a bit more space for... I don’t know what. Might have to get some ideas online.

and the knight cock Knox FINALLY decided to stay. Shari the bitch monkey got sick too, but I cured her because I’m a pussy.

Animal Crossing Cross Dressing design challenge is also possible. My guy had a tonne of dresses, but I've sold them all. Speaking of selling, I wonder if they'll do red lamp posts as a red light district would really tickle me.

That's a shame about the money trees, but I guess it would just make things too easy. I've been putting 10,000 in them, so can't complain at the 20,000 profit each time.

As for turnips, I forgot the snot last week, but blew 226,000 this time. My current sell figure is 85. First time it's over 110 I'll cave.

I've just had my first queen eliminated as well - I was expecting a knock. They take their house with them.

Also just realised that when one of them is having a tantrum, you need to use the joy emotion (or perhaps similar) to calm them down.

Sold my turnips for a whole 30 bells more per single. I needed the money to pay for an incline and forthcoming final bridge (until upgrading the initial log one).

I spent longer than I care to admit making wishes, and caught over 200 of them. Yet all I have to show for it are 19 standard pieces, 2 large and 1 Aries. They didn't even all appear at once - I had to do several walks along the beach waiting for more to appear, which seemed to stop after mid day (I've no idea since I fell asleep having went to bed at around 6 "lol").

I hope there is a drinks bar available as I want one for my luxury outside spa :disco:
 
I've not started the fishing tournament yet, but I assumed it would be catching fishes all day and not just 3 minutes. I'm so glad I prepped crafting 300 lots of bait (although I will say that just relentlessly using bait in a good spot gets some good results among the tiny things - I got some kind of sword fish, 3 tunas I'm storying for a statue and lots of oarfishes). This is twice this game has done this to me: first time I spent about 3 hours catching wishes only to get 22 star fragments that didn't even all appear at once :D They really should allow you to choose the amount you want to craft instead of 1 at a time.

I got a Lily of the Valley a few days ago. Seemingly, you get them if awarded 4 stars or more. Only come in white.

I'm just waiting on better items appearing in the shop as I've ran out of ideas. Still far too addicted to this in the current corona climate, so none of this matters.
 
Being only able to craft one fish bait at a time is a REAL nuisance, agreed. BUT SOLD MY TURNIPS for 500-something bells, thank heavens and Isabelle.
 
Feeling a bit like I NEED this game to help me with mental baggage, but it’s just like chores to do at the moment.

after working all yesterday and having a shitty headache, I switched my time zone so I didn’t miss the fishing tourney. Kind of frustrating, I like fishing but on the clock I always get cross. I got a nice fish umbrella though, and for all the crap fish I made some COINS, MAWMA!!

I’ve sunk all my coins into turnips though MAWMA, so I hope I don’t get fucked over.

I’ve been remodelling my town, diverting rivers and whatnot. But I’ve got to move all my fruit trees and I’m not mentally ready yet.

I just got 500,000 back from those eggs I'd hoarded (although I still need to do today's chopping). I've kept the balloons and archway for my pseudo theme park attractions zone.

Spent 1,400,000 on turnips. I ought to pay off my final loan if I make at least 600,000 profit on them.

good heavens, you’ve really been going in. I “only” bought about 300k in turnips, if I can get 50% up on that I’ll be quite happy, but an insane high price would be wonderful
 
I’m feeling a bit low on inspiration, I wish there were more Nook Miles features like in New Leaf. I mean a Godzilla is fun but... I want a bit more than a construction sign and a teacup ride. There were only about 10 recipes you could get, including a Silo. I mean why would you want that?

I changed my upper levels a bit, and tonight I moved all my fruit trees to the 2nd level. Now I have a lot more space on the 1st level. I’ll expand the Japanese bamboo forest a bit, and put a nice flower park on the 3rd level plateau.

Can you make bridges on higher levels, but over empty space rather than a river?
 
Has to be a river unfortunately.

I almost wish I could start again and think of the landscape before anything else.

They really do need to rotate the items more. I'm still after the wooden table and bench, but please do have items I've already got in the shop again though.

Oh, and the clothes should be a lot better. I've been wearing my Harry Potter garb for 2 weeks now.

the clothes seems to have a lot more variety, though a lot of them are fairly normal clothes in vile colours, with a few oddballs thrown in. I’ve got a cute Viking thing going on now.

I crafted furniture to use up my eggs, made a decent wedge. I’ll clear out my egg room now it’s over too. No idea what to put in there, maybe that will be my kitchen/dining.

I want to investigate what a Breakfast Nook is, I think I might want one
 
Does anyone use any website to find nice designs? My paths are a bit rough, I’d like to find something a little tidier at the edges
 
I'm going to start logging my turnip prices to see if a pattern emerges. I'm hoping for 200 or more.

Did all the bunny day things, transformed my house, even put on a pretty dress. (I love that this game doesn't assign gender to clothing, some days I feel like being manly mcmanface, sometimes I'm cute and girly, I wonder how close that is to being non binary)

However I am VERY GLAD to see the back of the damn eggs for a year now.

It's my birthday and I just got to beat the heck out of a piñata

It has a very strong furry fanbase, and with that comes a lot of LGBT. Though I don't know if there are more than usual or if it's just the acceptance in the community that makes it more obvious
 
I feel like all my residents are such BASIC BITCHES compared to other islands I visit. I'm at capacity now and I can't wait for one of them to leave.
