Just watched this week's Potomac. This was one of the better episodes of the season. Damn, Ashley Darby played the long game with Candiace. All the shitposting Candiace did on Twitter towards Ashley is coming back to bite her in the ass.
 
This Potomac Portugal trip - it's not delivering.

With the unexpected exception of Robyn pointing her finger to Candiace going "she would do that to anybody, that's a character flaw" without missing a BEAT. :D

I find it more sinister than that. She heavily implied that the “Samuels” helped her husband (a confirmed molester) and she’s paying them back.

I mean yes Candiace deserves it and hopefully it will teach her a lesson but the implications of what Ashley did are dark.
 
I didn't even recall that when typing the last post. That is indeed dark. I've long thought Ashley knows more about the Michael situation than she lets on but she more or less admitted in that episode to helping to cover up for him along with Monique and her family.
 
I'm near the end of S6 of Atlanta. Peter is INSUFFERABLE. How much longer is he going to be in it? He's worse than BH Ken or NY Simon when it comes to being thirsty for screentime and getting overly involved with the women.
 
Quite a while. He doesn’t go away easily, you’re in for some stomach churning sexy scenes between him and Cynthia which I advise you to fast forward.

I couldn’t watch Atlanta after watching season 1, it’s too obviously scripted. Nene Leakes turning up to a birthday party and not getting in was just ridiculous.

I couldn’t handle New York either - I tried season 7 but honestly it was just unpleasant to watch - the speed at which they spoke and their small apartments, no thank you.

Beverley Hills is the only American version of the franchise that shows a reality, with sibling relationships and mental health issues. By far the best. I do like what I see with Salt Lake City though.

Even after they break up, he still worms his way into scenes - because of his friendship with the other husbands. And his thirst.

In later seasons, however, we are treated to more scenes with Cynthia's ex - Noelle's dad. Who is just *the* finest man, in so many senses of the word.
 
That Potomac reunion is apparently gonna be a four-parter, with Candiace now being on the chopping block for being fired instead of Monique.

If the latter part is true, then it just goes to show how monumentally Candiace has fucked up in her response to the fight. An open goal of goodwill to be had and instead she ends up being the favourite to be fired.

I am here for more Leon scenes though, even in his late 50s he is still :horny::horny::horny:.
 
I HATE PETER! At least Simon was mildly entertaining for the cringe factor, Peter is the WORST :argh:

I'd be fine with Candiace getting fired, I'm bored of her taking over the show, and the lawsuits are just messy. FOCUS BACK ON THE OG's.
I doubt Candiace would be fine getting fired however, she's a future worlds thirstiest former Housewife RIGHT THERE WAITING!
 
No Brooks in episode 2 of SLC and no Sara, despite them still being at the party for the first part of the episode. :(

However, the trailer for next week's episode makes it look like Brooks is actually going to be getting involved in the drama with some of the ladies :disco:

Not a bad second episode at all. I like that they're getting into fights over a sit-down dinner already (if it's good enough Auckland, etc etc). And we're already getting awkward husband-wife dates, too. Meredith's husband truly showed us all his passive-aggression, projectile insecurities and unflattering possesiveness during that dinner. She's lucky he's never around. I'd much rather have Queen Brooks as the man of my household, too.
 
I don’t know I was kind of into Metedith’s drunk nasty husband, although it’s a bit rich him being jealous when he’s making doe eyes at their SON.

Is episode 3 out because it’s on Now TV?!?

I'm tempted to watch episode 3 now, but at the same time I'm not prepared to then have to wait two weeks to see the fall-out from Brooks-sees-a-vagina gate.
 
I liked episode 2! Lisa, I thought was BORING last week is possibly setting herself up to be quite a SATISFYING TO WATCH dumb villain on account that most of the other women can't stand her :D
I rewatched episode 1 too, and the scene of her and her family ordering copious amounts of fast food to eat in their Porsche was hardly the HEIGHT of CLASS!

I really like Jen now too. Despite all the extra-ness she does seem like a genuinely nice and caring person. Once she relaxes into it a bit I can see her being a top tier Housewife.

One of the millions of Housewives IG accounts I follow said Andy and Bravo are "ecstatic" with the ratings and show reception so far, so I'm assuming that's a season 2 all but in the bag - and it must be doing well on catch up.
 
I can understand how Bravo be ecstatic with the reaction to SLC, but the ratings do concern me. It dropped to less than 0.7 million for episode 2, and wasn't much higher for episode 1. And now that they're playing around with episode 3's premiere, it's probably only going to be even more downhill next week.

BUT - the reaction to it all has been so positive that I'm expecting a word-of-mouth success and a steady hit by the end of the season. At least large enough to secure a second season.

(Seriously though, how could ANYBODY except Jill herself, have a HIDEOUS clock that says JILL ZARIN CLOCKS as it's main design feature on their wall without cracking up every time you look at it :D )

I’m watching OC, sadly. The slow creeping oncoming of Miss Rona would be GOLDEN in any other franchise, but it’s wasted on rotten old OC.

Kelly shoves the new housewife in the pool next week, and back in the day that would be a stannable offence, but not anymore :(
 
Watched episodes 2&3 (it’s on Hayu) of SLC and I’m enjoying it. Jen is plummeting thought, she’s just so extra in a way that’s so fake.

Whitney is surprisingly not as dumb as Kristen (who she originally reminded me of) and I’m liking Heather and Meredith.

I’m surprised that Mary with her ratty hair and weak voice is able to lead a cult...I guess anyone can do it these days.

Lisa remains awful and her ability to suck the fun out of every scene is remarkable.
 
And I’ve watched the latest OC, I can’t believe I’m liking Gina and Emily, they need to scrub all the old faces. Shanon and Kelly are just so horrible and self centered, it’s amazing.
 
Lisa elongating every word and vowel is driving me INSANE. Thumbs up.

I have a lot of time for Heather, Meredith + gay friend and Whitney + recovering dad attending the MASS OF MARY was peak Housewives nonsense.

Jen could be great but so far, so over the top.
