Eastenders 2023

Also glad of the bit of the background Kathy gave on her as I was thinking that I had just dreamt that she was such a TREACHEROUS BITCH. I am assuming this will be a long term storyline but I suspect she hasn’t changed at all. :disco:

The scenes between Cindy and Kathy were :disco:

If I remember correctly, Cindy wasn't always a villain, but they turned her into one

Watching this for the first time in years. I have no idea who anyone is.

Is it a new Peter Beale or an old Peter Beale? He has great cheekbones but I miss the other one's arms :(

It is actually an old Peter Beale. He played Peter when he was younger then I am not sure if he was replaced or quit but we had another 2 different actors, and now it has returned to him.

He's the return of an old Peter Beale, he played him as a teenager and is now back (having been replaced by the arms one, who was later replaced by a ridiculously tall one who left about a year ago). PETERBEALECEPTION

I thought for a sec that the photo of her with Anna as a baby would be on the slideshow and Phil and Sharon would react! That would have been great.

I recommend watching tonight's episode ASAP. Stick it on on your lunch breaks. Another fantastic piece of soap and probably will be spoiled online well in advance of this evening.

Is it worth watching as someone with no interest in current EE, but a long time Cindy admirer?

With this and the ongoing yet unknown Xmas murder EE has had some real highs this year.

It also looks like we're getting some high drama with the
Stacey/Theo
plot next week - the show is doing so much right at the moment.

It was great! I am struggling to get my head around it all though from when Cindy 'dies' giving birth to Cindy Jr.

Also, did they use old scenes with Ian tonight? Only it looked like the old Ian, longer hair bit fatter.

In the flashback? The shots of Ian were from 2014, yes - it's amazing how much weight he lost in the past few years :o

Cindy saying that Lucy's death was a terrible accident tonight made me very curious how they'll handle her interactions with Bobby, whether she considers him a murderer or has a more nuanced view of it. There's potentially some good stuff there, but I could also see them not dwelling on it too much (since having Cindy be TOO bitter about it might make it quite tricky for the two characters to share scenes, which they probably will quite regularly).

I really liked that episode.

The only thing I'm a bit unclear about on the (retcon) return is how Cindy found out Lucy was dead and got back to Walford to be there at the moment Ian broke the news to Peter. I forget the timeline of the actual episode where Lucy's body was discovered in the woods, but for her to be back means she found out several hours before everyone else?

The body was discovered early in the morning after Good Friday, and it was broken to Ian that afternoon, same time Cindy found out.

It’s plausible (insofar as any of this is plausible).

That makes sense. I couldn't remember much of the actual episode and after trying to find clips on YouTube, I became more distracted by the reminder that Denise and Ian were engaged at the time :D

I have a hunch.

We’ve seen Cindy tell George that Lucy’s death was “a terrible accident” and we’ve seen Ian tell Bobby that she “forgives him.”

We haven’t had a Cindy and Bobby scene yet, so my guess is it will become clear at the end of tomorrow’s episode that she’s actually back with Ian to play the long game and get revenge on Bobby for Lucy’s death.

WOULD THAT MAKE YOU HAPPY @Rita??
