Eastenders 2023

I feel like Mitch, Bailey and Bernie would be a bit of an awkward trio to keep together so I could see some of them departing as well. It feels like Felix might be in danger too, Karen's family and the Whitney/Chelsea pairing are his main connections just now. Maybe the writers will finally let him have a boyfriend?

I guess they’ve held off on this Freddie storyline as long as they realistically could, and they’ve given up on tempting Kacey Ainsworth back for a guest appearance. :(

I loved tonight’s episode. It was done with so much love for the show’s history. I just can’t help but wonder what we might have had if Little Mo had been involved.

Also so glad to see Bobby Brazier’s acting proving the initial cynics (myself included) wrong.

I'm behind with this, but it's a shame about Whitney going as shes given some great performances

Lets not forget the Tony abuse storyline when she first came into it. Her and Patsy Palmer acted their socks off

Eerie.

Apparently the bits at the very top (the tube station, the little extra street and the park) haven't been added to the new set and are still used for some scenes. 🤓

Funny lil episode tonight, with just couples.

I was kinda hoping for a Ben-Kat double header.

I like it when they do something different, but unfortunately (and maybe controversially) I was bored watching tonight’s.

Oh Reiss you FOOL :(

I hope we get more of Yolande versus Suki, that has some potential :D

Do we still have no news on the return of CINDY?
The build-up is next week with Peter’s return and I think a few Cindy and Ian scenes in “France.”

Then the following week it all goes off.

They've done such a great job laying the groundwork and lighting various fuses for Cindy's return. I really hope the pay-off is worth it. All looks very promising.

Who's around that will remember Cindy? I think probably only Phil and maybe Ben, of those not featured in that clip. Although Ben was probably too young, although Cindy is his former sister-in-law.

Bit confused about the Ian/Sharon clip. He left after she tried to kill him. The extended break made sense!

Martin & possibly Sonia. Tracey of course.

The main thing I was concerned about with Cindy was her lack of ties on the Square (more than her having died, as it’s easier to explain for her than it was for Kathy). So they’ve played a blinder with the Knights and creating that intrigue there.

I’m hoping and assuming that all that unpleasantness will be dealt with and brushed under the carpet in about half an episode.

I liked the way they acknowledged Alfie's long-forgotten brain tumour in his chat with Phil yesterday, without giving it any more airtime than it needed. I think the show is pretty astute right now in what it can write off as a misadventure under previous producers, and hopefully won't bother trying to rationalise it.

Just caught up on yesterday's episode, Eve really is fantastic - I really hope she's around for a long time to come.

I’m not really sure I am much of a fan of this DRIPPY CINDY. Hopefully she gets back to previous form shortly.
