AGOG that this actually turned out pretty fucking great as a perf!

Although those SHOWER TILES COULD DO WITH A SCRUB FRANKLY
I was going to say, I would be straight at those with the Viakal.

(well obviously not me, I have a cleaner :hostage:)

I don't think the staging is that special? he's in a box and he's upside down for a bit...

I think there are bits of the staging that work fantastically well, like when the camera tilts to an angle and the dancers fall. That's clever and really makes you think logistically about what's happening. But yes, the upside-down bits are just that.

I didn't know they were doing full live performances in the semis now, but I think it's a really good move. It almost struck me as being a slight disadvantage (to the performer, if nothing else) that everyone else gets a televised run-through. If he delivers the same on Saturday, then at least we'll know that's as good as it's going to get.

Radio 1 A List :)

*swiftly dropped next week when he finishes 24th* :basil:/:(

I haven’t the foggiest how this is going to do

Maybe I'm being too pessimistic...think that draw is the best UK could have coped for, I also think the fact quite a lot of DREK has ended up in the final doesn't exactly hurt the UK, and I do think Olly will at the very least better Maes result- although that's damning him with faint praise.

I'm more concerned about what a flop means for next year

Well, I personally don’t think I’ve loved the UK entry this much (or at all) since Imaani ’98. :)

I got a bad feeling during the perf. It was slick, but felt very much like an interval act.

I mean, yes we avoided the bottom 5 but that 0 really stings :( I worry about where we go from here.

Weak song, poor vocal. Not much more to be said. Is it even charting here?
He hasn't re-entered the chart after its solitary week at #42 when it was released.

Mae re-entered at #45 the chart before the contest.

I didn't think this would do well. The performance was an interesting idea but the execution wasn't great. The poor vocals sealed its fate unfortunately.

It's gutting but what is there to say really apart from "oh well, back to the drawing board."

I'm predicting Cheryl, Jay with Daz Sampson and Josh Dubovie completing the NEW FIZZ line up

'We really must try to find a competent live vocalist again'?
This really does need to be our base next year, first and foremost - regardless of whether the song is "radio friendly" or not.

Someone with a great voice who can elevate a song love.

i mean....if that DIRGE from Germany could finish on the lefthand side.

He was off-putting! I don’t want to be reminded of my nights at SWEATBOX so I’m sure the heteros don’t either!!!

It really is quite sad that the turn around for the UK(and Spain come to mention it) come to mention it...seems to have been a blip :(
