Very bizarre campaign video here from the very bizarre Luke Akehurst.

I know he has neurological issues but surely they could have given him a few more takes!

I'm just sad he hasn't included footage of the crying children whose birthday he ruined, or the fighting that followed on from that.

In the name of balance, that's still MUCH better than the Tories who seemingly spent their entire paid social budget in the very first week of the campaign and have now GIVEN UP.

The mad bastard is STILL hammering away on the £2000 figure! Unreal.

I love how he has desperately avoided any interaction with any of the residents. Nothing says "I have been parachuted in and couldn't give an airborne fuck about any of you" quite like it.

The housing thing is very much the opposite for me. Deposit is not a problem and 5-10% is very much within reach for me, but the monthly mortgage costs would be crippling unless my deposit is at least 25%

As much as I detest Nigel Farage and everything he stands for, I don’t agree with these sorts of attacks on politcal figures. In a functioning democracy, people should be able to go about their business without fear of violence. If it was a left wing figure, most would be appalled.

In Farage’s case, this only emboldens him and rallies more supporters behind Reform.

Unfortunately we've tried everything (putting him on Newsnight every day, giving him his own TV channel, having the major parties adopt all his ideas, a referendum on whether we want pints with him or unbent bananas) and it only makes him STRONGER :(

Except it doesnt. Fuck him. More brick throwing please.

I caused QUITE THE STIR last week complaining about Peter Hitchens getting a booking at an event in my industry. Despite me linking some of his VILEST content people were defending it in the InTeReSt oF bAlAnCe

Thank fuck I can't attend the event or he'd be balancing a mcflurry on his fucking face.

This bullshit about balance has gone too far. Balance isn't "here's the truth and here's someone who doesn't want to believe it because they're racist/in the money/thick" or "here's a member of the public who is harmed by bigotry in day to day life and we also have a bigot who has a book deal, a lecture tour and a PR team because they make such a good living out of being a bigot".

balance is not giving a voice or a platform to somebody whose voice is intrinsically dangerous and designed to cause harm and division. especially not during an event that decides the future of the entire country. it's so idiotic that this even needs to be stated.

his words are violent and it can't be surprising or condemned when they are met with violence every now and then.

While I have no problem with Nigel Farage receiving physical harm I personally don’t like the precedent it sets. There are far more unhinged people on the far right who would up the ante. So I’m not sure where it ends. The focus should be exposing and humiliating Farage, not gaining him sympathy (and more column inches to defend himself)

I don’t think Farage having a wet face has the negative impact on him we all think it does

On the one hand I agree people shouldn't be throwing stuff at people they don't like.

On the other hand, if the person in question is Farage then my only qualm is when the hurled object doesn't have enough jagged edges.
