I highly doubt Donald Trump cares about the minimum wage either way. It’s not like he even pays his employees anyway
 
Interesting these chose McDonalds as the Harris team have an instant DUNK in response in the sense that he's there for a photo op but she *actually worked there* while putting herself through university.
 
well he's there for a photo op because he's been throwing doubt on the suggestion that she actually did work there. in the words of his spokesperson "at least one of the candidates has now actually worked at mcdonalds" (!). and there doesn't seem to be any proof Kamala did (assuming she did it was 40 years ago so how to prove it?), so it might not be the stupidest thing he's done!

They've chosen it deliberately. They're making out that she lied about working at McDonalds because the company has no record of her (as they don't for any restaurant employees from over 30 years ago!).

I know this is probably peak derangement, but I am genuinely quite scared this might be the thing that tips it in his favour. The rancid old fucker knows how to make himself into a meme.
 
The Musk factor is what tips it in his favour. I think they’ve lost PA now.
 
It's 2016 all over again. Harris is arguing on common sense, on policy, on appealing to Americans' better instincts and sense of moderation. Meanwhile Trump is absolutely dominating the popular discourse. Aside from the whole coconut tree/brat summer stuff which has petered out now, pretty much every defining image/quote from this campaign is Trump. This McDonalds thing, the post-shooting pose, his stupid dancing. Even the whole eating cats and dogs thing.

Add in Elon pumping X with disinformation and actively bribing the electorate and it's really starting to get scary. For the first time this whole cycle, I'm starting to get a genuinely uneasy feeling that he's going to win.

I still find the whole thing incredulous that an ACTUAL CRIMINAL might be about to lead the biggest nation in the world AGAIN after what happened LAST TIME.
 
If I was to bet today, I'd still say a Harris win, and possibly a surprisingly comfortable one. I think it's more likely that polling is off in the opposite direction of the past two presidential elections, than being off again in the same way for the third election running.
