A Topic for Male Celebrities Rape/Sexual Assault Scandals

My impulse to be a bit dismissive of the Kevin Spacey thing, which obviously turned out to be a fucking horrible pattern of serially abusive behaviour has really made me question myself and how I react to stories like this. I think deep down we're all probably a bit afraid that we're terrible perverts and every embarrassing drunken pass we ever made puts us on the venn diagram with this kind of behaviour.

Yes but it's important to distinguish that making a drunken pass at somebody is NOT harassment if you keep your hands off other people's genitals and you take no for no. It's not sexual misconduct. You're aware if you're acting in indecent fashion, drunk or not. And the majority of us are not in a position of power over the other person when we find ourselves making a pass at a stranger, unlike Spacey or Weinstein. Labelling things harassment when they're not is actually really harmful because it normalises it to the extent that ACTUAL harassment and severe sexual misconduct will go unpunished.

You can be a pervert and still not rape people.

Or the other is possible, that we will start ostracising and punishing anyone for what we incorrectly perceive to be harassment and assault. The majority of us might not hold power in a way that we can immediately recognise in Hollywood terms, but we do hold power in different guises and the conversation about power is, in my opinion, much more complex than our society is ready to give it credit for.

Power can be as simple as appearing physically stronger than someone else, so that they are afraid to say no in case you hurt them.

You can be a pervert and still not rape people.

Of course. Which is why stuff like this throws up a lot of uncomfortable questions. Louis CK hasn't (yet) been accused of raping or even assaulting anyone, as far as I can tell. It seems he has a thing for masturbating in front of women. Is that a criminal act or just a distasteful one? Where do we draw the line between thinking "Well, that's gross and inappropriate?" to taking formal action against them, which is what seems to be happening here. (His shows have all been pulled/cancelled etc.)

I don't think anyone's brought criminal charges against Spacey yet either, although that may well come. And his behaviour so far definitely seems like it was more egregiously abusive than CK's. But again, I don't think the word 'rape' has come into it.

i'm quite baffled by the fact that people like weinstein and spacey and ck actually need to do shit like that to get laid. how are wannabe actors everywhere not throwing themselves at them left and right in the hope of furthering their careers?

I would assume part of the thrill is the lack of consent. Like an exhibitionist.

JLO on ‘Money Train’ Love Scene w/ Wesley Snipes - “I Felt Violated”

In an interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, Jennifer Lopez was asked if she’d ever had a bad experience doing a love scene in a film.

She replied by talking about the “total jerk” actor with whom she starred in an action film.

Ugh! It was horrible. It was my first one… my first big role in a big budget movie. And I had to do this love scene. And I had never done a love scene before. I mean, I had done kissing, caressing, you know, but I had never done a sex scene before, so I was really nervous.

I didn’t want to do it. I didn’t think it was necessary. I wish now I had put up more of a fight. But when you first start working professionally, if you wanna work and you want your chance, you take whatever they give you. I didn’t think I had the right to say “No”, like, “No, I’m not doing this, and that’s it!”

I just tried to put it like, “We don’t really need this. It’s not that kind of film. This is an action movie. It’s not in the script.”

That’s the thing: It wasn’t even in the original script! The producers added it during filming. It wasn’t called for. It served no purpose in the story. You know what I mean? They just wanted a sex scene. Or rather the star did. Who was just a total jerk.

He was a big star at that time, with a lot of clout, and I was just starting out. It was my big break. And he really pressured me. He told me if the scene wasn’t hot enough, my part would end up on the cutting room floor. And that it would be bad for my career, like I’d get a reputation as difficult to work with.

So we did it, and it was horrible. We were both completely naked, with nothing between us except a sock on his boner! I was so naïve then. Now I would have pillows and covers and whatever to prevent contact, but I didn’t know any better.

So here’s this famous actor, basically humping my leg and pawing away at my breasts and kissing them. It was awful. I felt violated. I swore I’d never work with him again. He’s not done too well lately anyway… so maybe that’s karma!"

GEORGE CLOONEY we are waiting!!!

We all know he's gay and we all know he's done even worse things than Spacey so give it 2 us!!

QUEEN J LO

DRAG HIM

There is now a blind item doing the rounds that implies that Heather O'Rourke (it's barely a blind item, it really couldn't be anyone else), star of the Poltergeist films, died at 12 due to an incident while she was being molested/raped on the set of a TV show

Here it is but beware that it is seriously, seriously gross and disturbing

Back in the mid-80's was peak child molesting time in Hollywood. There was no internet. There were very very few mobile phones. Children came to the set where they were left alone by their parents. For the next 8 hours they were subject to every kind of horrible thing you can imagine. Drugs were commonplace. They were used to try and get the kids to not be so hysterical when being assaulted.

Producers loved casting shows with kids and tweens. If someone pitched a show that involved a handful of tweens with a dozen tween extras per week, it would get a green light. Even if the show was going to suck, and everyone knew it was going to suck, if you got the right pedo at a studio he would say yes just to come for the casting and taping of the pilot. As sad as it is to say, there were a lot of parents who told their kids to go off with the nice man in the suit and do what he says. It was a sick sick time.

It was just past the mid 80's when a producer came up with the idea of a tween show that not only would feature a rotating cast of extras, but would make the studio a bunch of money because they would film quickly and not hire any adults. Further, the faster they filmed, the more time they would have to molest all the kids that would be hanging around.

From the first day, it was the worst place on earth if you were a kid. The studio where the show was filmed also had several other shows being filmed there, most of which featured lots of children. Executives would drive over to Hollywood right before lunch and would stay at the studio for several hours each day.

Anyway, on this particular show, there was a special guest star. A very special guest star. Still not a tween, everyone knew who she was. Executives flocked to the studio that day to see her. She was first molested when she was 5 or 6 and had continued to be molested throughout her hit movies and also on a previous show.

One of the stars of the show who has spent her life bouncing in and out of rehab because of what she saw, and who was actually nominated for awards from the show, described the atmosphere that day.

"A bunch of f**king pigs. I had just turned 12 or 13. I was the same age as the actress coming in. Maybe a little older. We had been shooting for months and I was old news. They knew I would do what they wanted, but they always wanted someone new. This was someone new and someone they all knew. They had it set up like a peep show almost. She had finished shooting that morning and they brought her out on a stage. The stage was used most of the time for a game show that was taped there. That game show is still on today. I can't watch it knowing what happened to her there. They brought her out and the front four rows of this theatre were filled with guys who were already rubbing themselves. The girl was wearing a bikini. The show took place around a beach just so they could make these girls wear next to nothing. They had her walk around under the lights. The lights were focused on her and she couldn't really see out to the audience. She was squinting. It must have been blinding for her. They had her walk back and forth. Then they had her start dancing. All of these guys were doing what another star at that same studio got busted for. This went on for about 20 minutes. Then three of the guys took her to a different area of the studio."

The actress didn't see what happened, but about 45 minutes later, one of those three guys came running out and needed a set medic. Apparently they had inserted something inside the girl and things were bad. The medic came and the ambulance came. The parents of the girl were told some crap story. That crap story ended up killing the girl because the parents believed the executives. Two weeks later, the show finished shooting six episodes all at once and then everyone was sent on their way forever. No one wanted the kids around or any witnesses to what happened.

According to comments on the site (http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2017/11/todays-blind-items-molesters-killed-her.html), the show would have been this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocky_Road_(TV_series), and the award-nominated actress would be Devon Odessa: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devon_Odessa. Heather first started appearing in acting roles at age five, which matches the age this story says she was first assaulted

The story seems insanely detailed and plausible, although of course it could also be totally fictional, as most blind items are. It's so horrific that I hope it IS made up :(

In the alternate universe of Irish light entertainment radio, TV and panto star Al Porter has resigned from all his gigs after being accused of groping a load of men.
He's being investigated by the police after a complaint was made that he assaulted a man in treatment at a psychiatric hospital.
He is 24 (Porter that is).
Here he is - in happier times - with ageless beauty Linda Martin, 70.
nintchdbpict000300752271.jpg

He's been in panto since childhood.
He resigned from all projects and released a statement which said

I have been completely taken aback by reports in the media and on the social networks over the weekend, and by the scale and tone of the vitriol.

While my conduct, which had been in keeping with my flamboyant and outrageous public persona, may be regarded as offensive and unacceptable by many people, I at no time intended to upset anyone.

Up until now, I had been unaware of these complaints or the impact of my conduct and I am truly sorry for any distress I may have caused in what I had regarded as light-hearted and good-natured circumstances.

Although, on legal advice, I cannot comment on specific allegations at the present time, I nonetheless sincerely apologise to anyone I may have genuinely offended.

I am very grateful to Today FM, the Olympia Panto and TV3 for the space and time I’ve been granted to deal with the situation.

I have however come to the personal decision that I need time away from the spotlight after decades in the entertainment industry. I have informed Today FM that I am resigning from the station with immediate effect.
To my family, colleagues, friends and fans I thank you for your many, many messages of support.

That was before the allegations of assaulting a psychiatric patient were announced.

If charged then he's finished.

If not then I expect in about 6 months he'll do a tell=all interview where he'll detail his own experience as a victim.

He's repellent.

Bryan Singer has been AWOL from the set of his Freddie Mercury biopic for the last 3 days. Issues a statement about "health issues". Fox apparently considering a replacement director with two weeks left to shoot.

IT'S ABOUT TO BLOW

It's a health issue for both he and a member of his family though. Maybe he means one of his TWINKS.

Bryan Singer asks the media to respect his privacy while his boyfriend recovers from his battle with nappy rash.

SINGER FIRED

Bryan Singer issued the following statement regarding his removal from Bohemian Rhapsody, which he describes as a passion project. The director said he had asked Twentieth Century Fox for time off to deal with health issues — his mother is ill — but the film studio was unwilling to do that. He acknowledged creative differences with the film’s star, Rami Malek, but said they had managed to work things out.

“With fewer than three weeks to shoot remaining, I asked Fox for some time off so I could return to the U.S. to deal with pressing health matters concerning one of my parents. This was a very taxing experience, which ultimately took a serious toll on my own health. Unfortunately, the studio was unwilling to accommodate me and terminated my services. This was not my decision and it was beyond my control,” Singer said in the statement. “Rumors that my unexpected departure from the film was sparked by a dispute I had with Rami Malek are not true. While, at times, we did have creative differences on set, Rami and I successfully put those differences behind us and continued to work on the film together until just prior to Thanksgiving. I wanted nothing more than to be able to finish this project and help honor the legacy of Freddie Mercury and Queen, but Fox would not permit me to do so because I needed to temporarily put my health, and the health of my loved ones, first.”

They must have been looking for reasons to fire him in order for them to do it over a sick mother.

Or there was no sick mother...

Apparently he was warned before shooting began about timekeeping etc so it sounds like he has form.

Yeah but would you fire someone like him over some chaos in production? I'm guessing they didn't want to take the chance with their movie when allegations against could surface any minute and tank their film.

His publicist also dumped Singer as a client a couple of days ago.

Something seems to be brewing.

SINGER SUED (for rape obviosuly)

Bryan Singer is being sued for allegedly raping a 17-year-old boy in 2003, according to legal documents.

Singer vehemently denies the accusations.

Cesar Sanchez-Guzman claims that he met Singer during a yacht party in the Seattle area in 2003. The yacht was hosting a party populated by “young gay males in the Seattle area,” according to court documents.

The lawsuit alleges that the X-Men director offered to take the then 17-year-old Guzman on a tour of the boat. When they got into a room, the lawsuit claims Singer “forced Cesar to the floor, shoved Cesar’s face against his crotch area and demanded Cesar perform oral sex on him.”

The documents provide a graphic account of the alleged incident, claiming that Singer forced himself on Guzman, who “pleaded with [Singer] to stop” throughout the ordeal.

Later, the director allegedly told Guzman that he was a “producer in Hollywood and that he could help Cesar get into acting as long as Cesar never said anything about the incident.” The documents add, “He then told Cesar that no one would believe him if he ever reported the incident, and that he could hire people who are capable of ruining someone’s reputation.”

Guzman says the alleged incident caused him “to experience severe psychological, mental and emotional injuries, shame, humiliation and loss of enjoyment of life.”

A rep for Singer tells PEOPLE in a statement, “Bryan categorically denies these allegations and will vehemently defend this lawsuit to the very end. Cesar Sanchez-Guzman apparently claims that he did not remember this alleged incident from 2003 until now. Significantly, when Sanchez-Guzman filed for bankruptcy only a few years ago, he failed to disclose this alleged claim when he was supposed to identify all of his assets, but conveniently, now that the bankruptcy court discharged all of his debts, he is able to recall the alleged events.”

In 2014, aspiring model and actor Michael Egan filed a civil suit against the director, claiming he forced him into sex during parties in California and Hawaii in the late 1990s. Singer’s attorney at the time, Marty Singer, called the lawsuit “absurd and defamatory.”

Singer also submitted evidence he claimed proved he was not in Hawaii at the time of the alleged assault. Egan later parted ways with his attorney after he said he was pressured into taking a settlement. He ultimately dropped the lawsuit, saying that while his claims had merit, he could not find a new lawyer to represent him. In 2015, Egan was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to committing securities and wire fraud, according to Variety.

Later in 2014, a second accuser filed a sexual abuse lawsuit against Singer and entertainment executive Gary Goddard. When he was 17, the man claimed in the lawsuit, Singer fondled him and tried to force him to have sex. Singer and Goddard both vehemently denied the allegations.

The anonymous accuser was represented by Jeff Herman, the same lawyer who represented Egan. “After the substance of Mr. Herman’s previous defamatory and fabricated filing in Hawaii was disproved based on unassailable evidence, Mr. Herman’s desperation has led him to fabricate these new anonymous accusations against Mr. Singer, which we will also prove to be completely false,” Singer’s attorney said in a statement at the time.

A Los Angeles court accepted Singer’s motion to dismiss on the grounds that there was no legal basis for the suit, and that it was improperly brought.

Meanwhile, Singer was recently fired from directing a biopic about the band Queen called Bohemian Rhapsody.

Singer, known for directing The Usual Suspects and four X-Men movies, was ousted from the long-gestating project following an extended absence from the London set that resulted in a production shutdown. The Hollywood Reporter, which broke the news of Singer’s firing, reported that the move “reflected an escalating clash” between the director and lead actor Rami Malek.

Fine, but I don't believe in repressed memories, particularly for a 17 year old. Statute absolutely needs to be raised. Money and civil lawsuits create so much doubt. Or do a Taylor Swift and sue for $1 plus court costs.
