Eastenders 2023

It's now on Monday to Thursday, broadcast at 7:30pm on each of those days (and also put onto iPlayer at 6am).

Kathy looked stun in her wedding dress. When Ian comes back, he is going to look older than his mum!

I'm guessing that the backup honeymoon option of the French cottage is back on the table... :eyes:

What Sharon did? I didn’t see tonight’s episode. WHAT HAPPENED?

Even after reading that I still don’t think it will be Keanu who is dead at Christmas. Was it not Jack that got the CUFFLINKS? Although that is clearly a red herring…

I mean it’s just gotta be Nish. He’s the only one slowly making an enemy of everyone.

I think ROCKY. That may well be wishful thinking, but I think we are working up to Linda getting a new love interest…

Yeah Vicki Michelle's character is great, as is Elaine, with Sharon and Kathy both on top form there's classic EE Matriarchs at the moment :disco:

I'm guessing we'll be getting Kiss From A Rose in the background of scenes (like in the cafe tonight) semi-regularly until you know who shows up :eyes:

I don’t think Keanu has even mentioned his daughter before last week when she turned up out of the blue. Why does he care so much all of a sudden?

I was just thinking the exact same. :D

We don't, but I'm wondering if Kathy and Rocky will have another wedding quite soon following last week's shenanigans - having Ian and Cindy crash it feels too good to resist.

:( Surprised about Karen. She’s such a great character. Whitney should have left quite a few years ago and can imagine Shona launching a singing/stage career now.

It makes me fear for the future of a Felix though. They dropped his brother for lack of stories and now Felix is just there as Whitney and Chelsea’s flatmate, despite having loads of potential. Mitch too, who just now gets involved in old-man conversations with Rocky, Harvey and Alfie.

The reaction to Karen seems very mixed. I don't think she's any real loss (in fact, I'd just get rid of the entire family). To me, she comes across as a character created in the vein of a Slater/Butcher matriarch, but with absolutely none of the charm.

I have no idea what they were smoking when they decided Karen should be written out. Soaps need characters like her who are just part of the furniture even when they don’t have big storylines of their own, and I genuinely thought she’d be in it for the long haul. I don’t know where this leaves the rest of her family; it feels like they’ll be spare parts without her at the centre.

It’s sad to see Shona the actor go, but it does feel like time for Whitney the character to be rested for a bit.

Same. Unless Keanu is the Christmas death, but there’s still Bernie and Mitch. I take it the little seen other kids will be going with her.

Not happy about Karen going. She's a classic EE character, brings humour and humanity.

Whitney can easily go for a while. She's been the centre of so many big storyline, I'm not sure what trauma they can throw at her next. She's not even a tragic character, she's often quite fun.

They left the show at the start of the pandemic, to stay with their dad, and haven't been on screen since!
