Nah, all the Twitter alternatives have different problems. The right wing know to colonise early now so they're all shit. BlueSky has nothing going for it - Steve Albini moved his tweeting over to it and then promptly died, thus leading me to delete the BlueSky app.

If your only metric is advertising revenue and you bulldoze everything that brought people to the site to achieve it, collapse is not just inevitable but ingrained.

Honestly, at this point my anxiety over the US election is about 40% concern for American democracy, the climate crisis and global geopolitics and 60% the fact that I absolutely cannot live in a world where this coked up dweeb is on the winning team.
