believe it or NOT there was a lot of it. this album has felt quite widely anticipated for a while and I think she would've scored an easy hit with a good song.

anyway the numbers are diabolical. all this for a 2.3m global debut.

I've never sensed a massive amount of goodwill towards Katy Perry. I agree she could still score a reasonably sized hit with a good song (as Never Really Over demonstrated), but most of the time, opinion on her seems to blow in whichever direction the quality of the material warrants.
