She's such an excellent communicator. Top tier in her game.
Although on the plus side, she's such an asset to the SNP it can only help Labour win the 2024 GE.
God, just realised that she won't be doing the leadership debates for the next election. She's always amazing in them for casually destroying other leaders.Although on the plus side, she's such an asset to the SNP it can only help Labour win the 2024 GE.
Who's waiting in the wings?God, just realised that she won't be doing the leadership debates for the next election. She's always amazing in them for casually destroying other leaders.

Kate Forbes is the favourite. She's very capable, she stood in and did the budget with about 10 hours notice when the previous Finance Secretary wanted to take a 17 year old to the rugbyWho's waiting in the wings?
Don't forgetPeople who SHOULD be leading (Jacinda, Nicola) because of their emotional intelligence and authenticity, are ‘laboured’ with self awareness and humility, and don’t enjoy the toxicity that goes with trying to remain on top.
I'd be very surprised it Swinney stands. He's been leader before, and it wasn't exactly a great success.
Angus Robertson HATES Salmond. The third is Angus Robertson. He is one of longest serving SNPers, having been in Westminster as leader before being elected to the Scottish Parliament at that last election and immediately being given, essentially, Brexit minister. He was close to Salmond as well when he was around, and would very much be seen as a safe pair of hands, and is very good at debating from what I've seen. However, if I was to guess, he probably won't get the nod as I think they'll want someone younger.
I did say WASAngus Robertson HATES Salmond.
It's rare in general. That's a shame. Competence in public office is such a rare commodity in British politics, so she'll be missed.
Plaid Cymru?
Not to mention that she also used words like us, our, we, everyone, all, together, country, nation, national and Scottish anyway. If she didn't try to explain WHY she was doing it, there'd just be endless speculation. By doing so SHE LITERALLY HAD TO TALK ABOUT HERSELF.
Yeah but she tried that and it didn’t workMaybe they were hoping she'd frame the speech like "I'm leaving, and I'm taking Scotland WITH ME".
Why are you assuming she's left for the same reason as Jacinda? One of the biggest human flaws is that we’ve been engineered in a way where if we have toxic narcissism it makes us ambitious and tenacious and unrelenting (Trump, West, Musk) and therefore more likely to push to the top, elbow people out of the way, and do anything to remain there. People who SHOULD be leading (Jacinda, Nicola) because of their emotional intelligence and authenticity, are ‘laboured’ with self awareness and humility, and don’t enjoy the toxicity that goes with trying to remain on top.
It’s so fucking ANNOYING and BACKWARDS and pretty much the reason for every major man made disaster in HISTORY
Why are you assuming she's left for the same reason as Jacinda?
