Tennis 2025

Well, unless Iga's had to come off her DOPING REGIME considering recent events :side-eye:
Martina Navratilova has said Iga & Jannik definitely weren't doping, & we all know Nav's change into superfit wonder woman in her mid 20s back in the day was TOTALLY LEGIT :basil:

And in no way would brushing a doping problem in tennis under the carpet benefit one of its best known commentators/ pundits/ faces :D

And Swiatek's drug is the one that has been randomly turning up in loads of stuff- it was the the same drug the Russian figure skater failed for, the big Chinese swimmer issue last year, loads in athletics.

So many accidental, inadvertent uses for a heart medication that shouldn't be in 99% of the things that people claim it is :D

My favourite recent excuses include Dayana Yastremska getting away with a positive result after claiming it was because she'd swallowed her boyfriend's JIZZ :D & that athlete, can't remember his name, saying he'd took something for penis enlargement :D

That was a while back, LaShawn Merritt.

I think my recent favourite, which US Anti Doping AMAZINGLY (or not so if you know much about anti-doping) let off, was a Paralympic athlete who claimed he'd used an oral syringe after using it on his DOG but the medication itself when administered to dogs is done so...ANALLY :D

Sinner - Schoolkate isn't the cakewalk I thought it might be. No breaks for Sinner yet. :o
He seems to have turned it round now. Maybe his physio gave him a massage at the changeover and it perked him right up.

Yastremska is so special that it doesn't seem super unreasonable though.

The old JIZZ defence is FAIRLY common nowadays. And cocaine from a nightclub kiss comes up quite a lot too.

Let's not forget the all time classic, 1992 Olympic medallist (and current star coach of Netflix doc Sprint) Dennis Mitchell gave for elevated levels of testosterone, which was drinking "five bottles of beer and sex with his wife at least four times... it was her birthday, the lady deserved a treat." :D

At least he actually got banned for that one (and then subsequently admitted to using human growth hormone anyway).

I just looked it up & it was in 2010 :o I could have sworn it was within the past few years. My sense of time passing gets more skewed the older I get.
Briefly thought that you were saying that the Yastremska case where she said that she had swallowed her boyfriend jizz was in 2010, which would have been disturbing. I had to check her birth year and then my own reading comprehension.

From an entirely personal viewpoint, we won't have slut shaming here.
This is bothering me a bit, so after some thought I've come back to it.

Personally I'm not interested or bothered about what anybody (pro athletes or otherwise) are doing with their sex lives. It's their own business, I'm not interested & I'm certainly not someone who slut shames others (I'd probably be ONE TO TALK, TBH)

This being said, if something is being used as a reason or excuse to try to potentially get away with doping, I don't think it's unreasonable to ask questions, whether it's what I've said or your post above about the athlete with the dog syringe.

Shaming others for their sex lives was absolutely NOT my intention.

PSST...it was a joke! :D

Sorry, perhaps should have been a bit more over the top in my "from my own personal viewpoint" to mean that I'M A FUCKING JIZZ WHORE. :disco:

Medvedev on his way out soon.

And Kyrgios - Kokkinakis retired from their first round doubles. Neither clearly fit enough to play.

So glad that Danielle Collins has decided to stick around for a bit. Loving the drama for her today 😂

Ruud is fine but he's no Marton Fucsovics.

The guy behind him in the green cap knows.

The final set of Medvedev - Tien was thrilling. Daniil is one of my faves, but an upset is fun and I would've felt bad for Tien if he'd have lost from a two set lead and being so close in the third.

All the seeds out in that section of the draw!

Zverev calling himself good looking was a bit cringeworthy in the interview but he is playing well in the early rounds (as is often the case for him).

Frustrating for Naomi for the abdominal injury to flare up again, she’s been rounding into good form.

Tomas Machac continuing his one-man quest to bring back the old 80s style short shorts vs Djokovic :horny:

Osaka retired after the first set vs Bencic. She can't seem to play without getting injured every other tournament. I don't see Naomi sticking around for much longer unless things improve rapidly.

Unfortunately, if unsurprisingly, Fearnley wasn't able to beat Zverev, but I'm hoping sexy Tommy Paul can do it in the quarter finals.
