How are you likely to vote?

I like how they've chosen a young person with the name LORENZO to ask the question about immigration :eyes:

I don't have loads of comments so far. It's always nice seeing the smaller parties and they always come out well from these things. Much like Starmer/Sunak on Tuesday, Penny and Ange's sniping isn't a good look whether you agree or disagree with what they're saying. I don't recall an election with so much bad blood on display in my lifetime.

sorry but it's reductive to focus on something that happened over a decade and several governments ago instead of what's happening now. I liked her answer and think the lib dems have come off well tonight despite not being given much speaking time.

How dare I use the evidence of Lib Dems time in government when they're standing in an election. How REDUCTIVE :manson:

Anyway if you want an up to date reason to despise the lib dems and their promises, just look at their policy on EU membership these days.
They are pro rejoining the single market which is a lot better than what Labour is offering !

I'd rather vote for a party that wants to join properly thanks.
It can't happen in the next five years can it. Also not until relations have improved significantly which will take time...

I couldn't watch. Did big Ang win?
No. Not enough slayage :(

I would say the winner was the Plaid-SNP-Green alliance. Flynn defending immigration robustly and getting applause for it was my personal highlight.

Mordant was the loser, easily. She repeated the £2000 lie and was way too aggressive and just looked rude and pathetic.

Did Fartage say anything which gave even the slightest indication that his party stands for more than 'foreigns are evil and must go home'?
He made an excellent point about Proportional Representation that was a very upsetting reminder why political calculators always give me something like a ~40% compatibility with his various parties throughout the years.

Why are they repeating the £2000 lie? Is there evidence of it sticking?

I honestly wish more of the public had the balls to be straight with the British public about immigration. We have an aging population and need more young, working people who want to contribute. Several of our key industries, such as higher education, social care and hospitality, would collapse without foreign money or labour.

Immigration and the NHS routinely come out as one and two in polling in terms of people's priorities for this election. No politician is apparently brave enough to tell the public that the latter simply isn't going to function without the former.

And my Green candidate says “My priority as an MP would be to identify the best ways to become a genuinely child-friendly country.” Ewww :gross:

who the fuck did they poll? Ange did second best? love her but come off it...

This is why we need young people to vote. Some Labour/Green/LD etc voters will have watched it but most of them have a LIFE. Guaranteed all the FAIL readers wondering whether to vote Tory or Reform watched the debate. I'm sure they LOVED what Farage had to say.

I hope you're right but I do worry.

On the rare occasions I log into TikTok invariably I seem to be presented by far right propaganda on my 'for you' feed. Maybe I just foolishly lingered on one for too long and now the algorithm think I'm interested in what Katie fucking Hopkins thinks about the world, but I can't be the only one...

Not that I'm claiming to still be a representative of the 'youth vote' :basil::(
