She's supposed to be doing Hamlet down the road here until the end of June 🤔 the posters are all over the place

This really couldn’t be going worse for Keir so far could it? What a disastrous start to his campaign.

It's such an own goal. Abbott is a known quantity and would probably have been quite happy carping from the backbenches until she retired.

Whereas these venal freaks are clearly going to be a much more serious liability in the long term.

I think any worries that the trans rights debate would dominate can be left behind. There won't be any debate. Or any trans rights.

It's the utter desperation by Labour to have no Achilles Heel, nothing upon which the press could really focus upon that has led them to not just overcorrect but actually mirror Tory policies. I do not see what Labour are for in 2024; they're chock-full of Tories who chose Labour because they figured it was a better career decision. They are just as awful, just as evil, just as grasping and venal as the Tories. We have a One Party System, only the colour of the rosette changes. I have no idea how we get forwards from here.

Very much hoping the mask will come off on 5th July or even later down the line.

Still voting Labour, because despite these dire acts of micromanagement it will still be better than the fucking Tories, making policies to please their billionaire chums, basing their policies around Facebook comment sections/ the latest right wing hashtag and keeping a tight hold of the discourse with nasty inhumane policies.

Of course the Labour party aren't perfect, fuck it Diane Abbott is a hot mess at times and the two most recent leaders are utter wankers, but it's still better than those shitcunts we've had in power for 31 out of 43 years of my life. Plus there will still be some decent folk in power, something the Tories can't say.

How many seats have the Greens as the main risk to Labour, in any viable sense?

They were third in my seat (Bristol East) in 2019, predicted to be narrowly ahead of the Tories to take second this time. Labour's predicted majority is 44%, so I am sorely tempted to go Green, considering the Tories seemingly have no chance.

According to the news today they are challenging seriously for 4

1 from Labour
2 from Tories
And defending one

Yes, because YOUNG and DYNAMIC are the first two words I associate with Sunak.

The fact he's the first PM to be younger than me actually makes me hate him even more.

According to this, the Green party's four key target seats are

Brighton Pavillion (Green hold)
Bristol Central (Labour - Thangnam Debbonaire)
North Herefordshire (Conservative - Bill Wiggin)
Waveney Valley (New constituency)

I imagine they'll be thrilled just to hold Brighton and gain Bristol though. The other two are probably long shots.

I watched this live. The audience were politely hostile. Their boss clearly gave them freedom reign.

So many preprepared answers, it's no wonder Ed Davey learning to to poll dance is getting the attention (this is surely somewhere on the election bucket list).

Eddie obviously just honouring her commitments to local theatre 🥰

When you lose in the selection process to the third vocalist in Gomez, it's maybe a message.

Well, it would have been in any other incarnation of the Labour Party....
