What will you NEVER DRINK AGAIN?

I'll still drink a glass with a meal when it's appropriate, but I generally avoid red wine after fatally misjudging the relative quantities compared to beer on some night when I was 19 and spending the entire next day actively praying for death.

I also really dislike shots. I just don't see the point of them, aside from maybe as a quick jolt if everybody's feeling a bit lethargic, and even then it's only because they taste so fucking disgusting.

Pernod
Tequila
Vodka and Red Bull
Southern Comfort
Jack Daniels
Malibu
Cinzano
Lager
Cider
Mead (Viking's Blood, Freya, Thor and Loki versions from Lancashire Mead Co)
Glenfiddich (or probably any other) whisky
Hooch lemonade
Alcoholic Dandelion & Burdock
Orange WKD (the Irn Bru one)
Bottle of Dog (Newky Brown)

There are probably many more but the above listed are the worst offenders for making me think I was dying.

The worst combination I've ever had was a shot of lukewarm rum chased with a Hershey's kiss. Would NOT recommend

So @Floppet, what CAN you still drink?

I rarely drink anymore, just on my birthday and New Years Eve usually. I'll have a snowball at Christmas probably (Advocaat and lemondade, tastes like an ice-cream float) and I just drink vodka and coke the rest of the time.

@Mats was half-right with his bong comment except I don't use a bong, I make my spliffs with minty tobacco :D

Sorry to wang on but can we talk about Hershey's for a minute?

Why? I remember having some Hershey's "cookies and cream drops" once. Literally tasted of vomit. I don't get it.

Hershey's chocolate is objectively gross but its nostalgic and almost its own food. There are vomitty undertones, but you have to ignore that

Hershey’s also make the Cadbury’s over in America which is NOT a pleasant surprise :gross:

Not being funny RJN hun, but how would you know?

Well I'm not claiming to be a chocolate expert, but the market near my apartment has a lot of artisan and/or organic chocolate bars. And my grocery store has British and German sections that have the more normal European chocolates.

I can't speak for people not living in big cities though. I imagine they don't have that kind of thing. Its the same with cheese. Americans probably traditionally didn't have access to the good stuff, but in a big city, in 2020, it's not like that.

Having said all that, I'm still more likely to buy a Hershey's bar (or KitKat or Reese's) than something fancy
