Sarah Harding DEAD

Their poor versions of 'I'll stand by you' and 'See the day' aside, they did have a pretty impressive run of singles.

I've always removed/skipped those on my play-throughs of WWTNS and Chemistry. They're just so obviously tacked on and don't fit at all on either album.

Their version of Jump I actually quite like.

In this era, don't we all just pretend they never did those tacky covers and gave us exclusively original bangers?

How does The Show sound even better almost twenty (WTF?) years on?

Have this on right now. Fucking essential.

Jump is an era I immediately associate with impossibly straightened spiked two-tone bleach mullets, layered tshirts, sweatbands and wearing two belts (but your arse still hanging out your Diesel jeans you’d spunked your student loan on).

Honestly what a time to be alive.

Seeing all the UK front pages one after the other really hits hard. Since I heard I haven't listened to any GA and have busied myself with other stuff rather than reading much beyond this thread because it's so difficult to even process

Obviously this announcement has been coming for the best part of a year but it’s still so, so sad :(

Let's have :disco::disco::disco: pictures of Sarah HERE

I particularly like the one on the cover of her book :disco:

I'm not sure whether reading her book before her appallingly premature passing was the best idea, but if you've not done so already, READ IT NOW

Google image searching seems to indicate she was something of a short hair style icon

I don't think I could read it right now
Actually I'm not sure that I could either. Just looking at the pictures and the caption "I am so proud of everything we went on to achieve" this morning was more than enough to set me off

I mean, she was spot on. Manufactured on a reality show and up against a boyband for the number 1 spot… it just sounds like they shouldn’t have worked.

Luckily, their debut single is generally, correctly considered to be one of the best songs of the 00s and they just didn’t take their foot off the accelerator from there. And I’m saying this as someone who’s more a well-wisher than a fan.

I'm rather regretting never seeing GA live now, although I did once see them at a signing at HMV, my main memory of which is the overwhelming bouquet of EXPENSIVE PERFUME :disco:

I really can't listen to her singing or spoken voice right now :(

I think I saw them twice, although I forget which tours.

Somewhat against my better judgement although I'm not doing any work so there's capacity for sobbing uncontrollably, I'm watching the TEN tour on YouTube and goodness me how fabulous :disco::(

However, I'm reminded why I don't go to shows like this (audience members SINGING and also MOBILES :argh:) so I don't regret not going so much now

So are we gonna have a GA sync listen? @monsta.

I'm sure if you don't have time to host, someone else could, once you've curated a playlist.

I’m not going to be in on Friday night but I’ll send you the link to a Spotify if that’s ok (I’ve put it together, just need to get it to flow right!).

How long roughly do you need it to be? 2 hours or so?
